A New Year

I pray that I will live my life JUST as HE planned it to be lived... walking in his footsteps. Not beside them, but in them! :)

I DON'T want this year to be a repeat of the past year that was full of bitterness, tears, and confusion. Instead, I want to praise God when he blesses me, and praise him even when things don't go how I want them! It isn't my world, It is HIS! So, I am going to do everything in my power to make this year a happy and healthy one!

When life has got you down...

So, today started out great, but near the end it all went downhill. I have been see-sawing good moods and bad moods lately. It is terribly annoying. If I read my Bible more I am sure that would change, but I don't. I would covet prayers from all of you. I am bitter about some things that I know I shouldn't be bitter about. Also, my sister Tara and I had a fight recently. I said some things that I shouldn't have said even though I meant every word. The thing is, I don't feel as guilty as I know I should feel. I don't know... ugh. I just feel like she isn't the sister I knew. she is rude, uses foul language, and doesn't know the meaning of love at all.

Anyway, I hope this doesn't sound like I want babying. I just needed to get this off my chest. I find that if something is bothering me and I don't talk about it, I just get miserable. I am so thankful for my wonderful friends and family! They are sooo kind to put up with me! ;)

I am going to end with the verse that has seen me through pretty rough days!

    Anaja, I think we all know that you are not angry with your sister, but the sin that she has chosen to cling to. I know some of the things that you said and they were truthful. Sometimes the truth is hard especially when someones heart is hardened. We all know that you love your sister and it is sin that has caused you to be seperated from her. Praise God that you have recognized the sin and are bothered by it. Some of us have a tendency to overlook sin to keep the relationships with those we love, but if we truly love then we can not tolerate the sin. I will pray for you to be more "seasoned with salt" next time :) I will also pray that Tara will "come to her senses" like the prodigal son and we can all embrace her that day. I love you my little sister. Keep pressing onward toward the goal. Looking forward to our week together!

    Forgiveness is HARD. I am in a similar boat with my little sister. What I am working on is preparing my heart to forgive her fully if/when she repents. It does take time to truly, 100% forgive someone. No one wants their past (no matter how bad) to be brought up again when they truly repent. Perhaps if you think, "I need to be ready to forgive her with all my heart - and she may repent tomorrow, or next week, or in a year, or ten years from now" it will get you started on the process of forgiving her and trying to see the situation from fresh eyes. It will also ease a lot of your pain too. Hope this helps. 3

Holiday Happenings!

So, Saturday, My family(without my nieces and nephews) will be going to the Berkshires for a week! I am thrilled! The Nelsons have a time share up there so my family, my aunt, uncle, and my cousins will be joining them up there! We went up last year and one of the things we did was snow tubing! That is definitely something I hope we do again! :)

Anyway, it is very nice to have Michael Reeves, Sarah Sutherland( my cousin), Olivia Schmidt, and Christopher Schmidt here from Florida College for Christmas break! :)

HOBBIT!

Yes, so tomorrow I am going to go see the midnight premiere of the Hobbit in 3D! I am going with a bunch of friends from church! I think there is like 18 or more going altogether!

It is gonna be epic! :)



Anyways, what have you all been up too? Are any of you going to the FC Lectures!? I just found out that I am! :P
