Blessings
It's a wonderful thing to look around and know that God is taking care of people and things in my life I have no control over.
Since my last post, Gerald and I took a few days before one of his meetings in Canada and just relaxed and watched the water flow over Niagara Falls. It was nice to just relax and let the water take the stress away. Everyday the falls looked different. We had a great view from our hotel room, so we didn't even turn on the t.v. for 2 days. The chairs were facing the window when we got there, they must know everyone coming needs that view.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas. Blessed to be together with love, happiness and good health.
Before Christmas, right after the Canada trip we scheduled work to be done in the house. We have cheap galvanized pipes that spring pin hole leaks in my ceilings. We tried to tough it out but moved out for two nights when the water was turned off. The procedure involved disconnecting all water source ( sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers and washer) in the house and then sand blasting the inside of the hot and cold water lines. After they finished they put an epoxy lining inside the pipes, air tested them and they fixed any leaks and now NO MORE WATER LEAKS, at least in the fresh water lines in the house guaranteed for 25 years. Now we are painting the repaired damage hopefully for the last time in a while. They finished their work the 22nd. I was so happy to have the house back. Now to finish painting, and putting Christmas away.
Lindsey has started her house search again. She hopes to find the perfect house. Last night we looked at 4 with her, one was a yes but would like to move it to another neighborhood. We came home and think we found the floor plan in another neighborhood in better condition but the cost is much higher. Now to look at it and then compare the two. The real estate agent said her goal was to find 3 top favorites then make her decision. Lindsey told me this morning she has her top two, now just to find the 3rd. It's interesting her favorite on the computer wasn't "the one", my favorite on the computer wasn't it either. The favorite was a surprise.
I've bought my purple hull peas, and a head of cabbage for new years. That's enough for me but my sweet man wants meat with his meals. Another trip to the store is in order some time before new years. What are your New Years plans?

Lindsey's top three choices of homes are under contract to someone else. The one she was ready to place a bid on, had a verbal contract on it. The other two (the same floor plan in another neighborhood) show on the computer, option pending continue to show. Hopefully a new crop of homes will come on the market in January.

Yearly renewal on New Years Day with 4 girlfriends. (We've met somewhere every New Years Day to renew the friendship, for the past 20 years).
