Here we are guys! The last round to determine who we, the people of Pleonast, find to be the most worthy of being called Best Animated Feature!
We started with 64, there are only 2 left.
And as you know, two films enter, one film leaves.
The final two in the match up are on either ends of the spectrum in my opinion. One is ridiculous and random and the other is a fairytale romance. I'm not really surprised but the two, but I am interested to see who comes out on top.
I have learned not to predict you crazy people.
So here they are: Your final two!
Let's Go!!!
Final Match up:
The Emperor's New Groove
vs.
Beauty and the Beast
at 03/25/13 11:55AM
64 films are now down to 4.
I just really don't know what expect anymore. All four of these are STRONG contenders to take the whole thing. Oh, and I have no idea which one to pick for the bottom match up. There will be stress involved for me to pick...
So for those of you who would like to participate, I will post the fourth round: 2 match-ups, and you all can vote in each match-up to see who goes to the next round!
Even if you aren't on my friend's list and happen upon this page, go ahead, give me your thoughts on the matter.
You can vote for all the match-ups or just a few, it doesn't matter.
**PS: For those who have yet to do this, just copy/paste the list and delete the one you don't want. Easier than scrolling up and down.
Don't forget to comment on those shows that lost the last round.
Let's Go!!!
Top Half:
1.
Finding Nemo vs.
The Emperor's New Groove
Bottom Half:
1.
Toy Story vs.
Beauty and the Beast
at 03/18/13 11:53AM
64 features are now down to 8.
I am really down right shocked by what is going on with this bracket! I would not have imagined that Sword in the Stone would be the standing 8. Very interesting.
There were two match ups that were decided by one vote. Finding Nemo just won by a tiny fin over Monsters, Inc. and Up flew slightly higher than How To Train Your Dragon. (I'm really mad at myself at some of these match ups.)
Ok, anyway, for those of you who would like to participate, I will post the fourth round: 4 match-ups, and you all can vote in each match-up to see who goes to the next round!
Even if you aren't on my friend's list and happen upon this page, go ahead, give me your thoughts on the matter.

There were some complete blow outs and then there were some very, very tight races. And the Classics came out to PLAY! I did not expect some of these results, like Sword in the Stone beating out WALL-E, Lady and the Tramp beating out Nighmare Before Christmas, The Jungle Book winning over Cars and Peter Pan beating out Mulan after a tie breaker. (That one was less surprising but, like I said, kudos to the Classics for representin'!)
As for blow outs, well, apparently Hercules could get through his 12 labours, but he couldn't make it past Toy Story with a result of 25 to 1. Aladdin stole away with a hefty win over Anastasia and Emperor's New Groove danced easily into the third round with a 23 to 2 victory over Lilo and Stitch.
So here we go, your Sweet Sixteen. And guys, it didn't get any easier.
So for those of you who would like to participate, I will post the second round: 8 match-ups, and you all can vote in each match-up to see who goes to the next round!

There were some complete blow outs and then there were some very, very tight races. Two match ups were down to one vote and we had to say goodbye to some quality films.
There weren't any
real shockers but there are some very diverse tastes in this group of voters.
So here we go, round two. And guys, it got hard.
So for those of you who would like to participate, I will post the second round: 16 match-ups, and you all can vote in each match-up to see who goes to the next round!

I will have to come back. I can see which way the wind is blowing, but I have to ponder this.
I know I'm the black sheep (or llama) of this group, but hear me out:
B&TB was a classic film of my childhood. I wore out our VHS copy. Color, music, excitement, happy ending! It's a GREAT film! By all accounts, it should win.
Which is why I choose The Groove. A loveable little-known film that NEVER gets old. Very quotable, very memorable, but little-known. The fact that it made it to the final round of Jessi's Fifth Annual March Madness is testimony enough that it's a good film. Colorful, witty, and down-right funny. This is why my vote is for the underdog (or under-llama, if you prefer).
:)
Beauty and the Beast.
