John Paul Murrell Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right.

This nation was founded on one principle above all else: The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world -- "No, YOU move." - Captain America

Aaron Nicholson Apologies to women everywhere. Storm and Wonder Woman are indeed two of the best female characters ever (and Jessi, I remember what a blast it was when you did best butt-kicking women Madness! Good times)... But I have to go with Supes and Cap. Possibly the two best reps of their respective publishers. Although a case could be made for Batman and Spider-man, too. This will be a great battle. Not of physical strength, no contest there, but of heart and philosophy. There's a lot to be said about the essence of Marvel and DC, and what's historically made them unique. But I'll save that for later...

Elite Eight of Jessi's 9th Annual March Madness: Comic Book/Graphic Novel Characters

Ouch. That round was tough, and so many of the races were SO close.

I just want to take this opportunity to say auf wiedersehen to my Love Kurt Wagner, aka Nightcrawler. You made it further than I thought, but ultimately you bowed out and let your Love, Ororo go through. I'm sorry that I had to match you two up against each other. I will always love you Kurt. Always.

Ahem, anyway. Here we are at the Elite Eight. (oh, and yes, a Raccoon just beat out a wolverine)

Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!!

You can vote for all the match-ups or just a few, it doesn't matter.

Sweet Sixteen of Jessi's 9th Annual March Madness: Comic Book/Graphic Novel Characters

The ground shook with the battles from The Second Round. Heroes fell. Juggarnauts of the industry were sent away.
Things might be getting easier now, but who knows, it depends on how you vote. Personally, I do not know how I want to vote at the very bottom of the bracket.
So for those of you who would like to participate, I will post the first round: 8 match-ups, and you all can vote in each match-up to see who goes to the next round!
You can vote for all the match-ups or just a few, it doesn't matter.
