Middle School Bible Class
Hi everyone,
I have to tell you all about the class at church that Nancy Reaves and I teach. They are just awesome!! After services were over Sunday they came up with a short play about one of the lessons we have been studying. The series is Our Spiritual Heritage about light and water. They memorized Psalms 107, the first 32 verses and then Sierra Sonen asked the audience if they could remember 32 verses!! Then each one of them memorized four additional verses that had to do with light and water. James and Jeremy lead songs that had to do with light and water. Sierra came up with the short play about Moses leading the Israelites in the wilderness of Shur. Where for 3 days there was no water then finally they came to a place with water but it was bitter. Then Moses, Michael Sonen, prayed to God for help and God tells him to throw a tree into the water to make it pure. They really did a great job and the parents were amazed with what all they had learned. That whole series is wonderful for both the student and the teachers. I know I have learned as much as they have. What a great way for these young people to show their parents what they have learned. Nancy is so creative in helping these kids learn in such a fun way. These young boys are learning how to pray and lead singing. What a great start on their path to serving the Lord.
