Lies Satan Tells Us

Heard this a while back

Satan was getting ready to send his 3 most trusted soldiers (demons) into the world to decieve Christ's followers.

First, however, he wanted to know their plan of action.

So he asked the first, "What is your plan for deceiving them?" The demon replied, "I'm going to tell them that you don't exist. Then they will lower their defenses against your many tactics."
Satan replied, "You may well fool a few people that way, but not many.
People can generally see my influence all around the world."

He likewise asked the second who replied, "I'm going to spread the rumor that hell doesn't exist."
Satan replied, "That will get a few as well, but generally people firmly believe that evil will be punished."

Looking at the last one he said, "What do you have?" The last replied, "I'm going to spread the comforting lie that people have all the time in the world. There is no need to worry about serving God right now, do it later after you have well served yourself."
Satan replied, "That's perfect. You will have them right where we want them!"

It's scary how easily we can fall for the many devices of satan if we drop our guard. Let's remember to walk circumspectly, even in our own thoughts!
