For some reason I thought Pleo had been abandoned for Facebook, Twitter etc etc but I see that I was wrong in that assumption! Anyway after trying about 1000 combinations of passwords, I finally remembered what mine was and here we are. Have a great day! 23 days until July 11, let's see if Madeline makes it until then or if she'd like to debut sooner.

I'm not too great at keeping my blog current, but I am going to take this opportunity to wrap up the weekend. Yesterday, I went to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert and hung out with some of you afterward. It was such a great concert. Today, my friend Adam and I went to see Abby sing in a Mozart Birthday Concert at Fair Park Music Hall sponsored by Radio Disney. It was a fun day. Tomorrow I will get to see all of you which will be great. However...my competency exams are in one week! Can we just scream a little for that!? I say thanks for the one week warning. I could have used like a months warning or something, but I knew it would happen sooner or later. Happy Presidents Day!

I have been a bit of a hermit lately with rehearsals for the opera so this weekend when I was able to come up for air and the performances begun, it meant more to me than you'll know to have seen your faces there supporting me. My family lives very far away and have work, church and other things that make it difficult to come out just for a weekend. However, when I saw a different cluster of my church family after the show each night I felt loved and blessed. I'm unfortunately not the biggest literary classics buff, so I had to look-up Melissa's character reference to me. "Maggie is torn between her passion and her duty, between following her heart or following the conventions of society." How fitting. It reminds me why being around wonderful people like you is the right way to go...always. In short, you were so supportive and I appreciate it.
