Hello my friends,
It's been almost 4 months since my last post. So, I think it's about time for an update!
I am still working at MH- Sugar Land and enjoying my job...except of course that it requires people to be sick or unwell for me to have my job.
Dustin and I are doing well in our marriage. We are learning how to handle "marriage" better everyday. When you have two individuals used to an independent lifestyle and then try to merge those lifestyles into one house and yet accomodate each other's "man time" or "girl time" still, it can be challenging as we all know. We are making it! Don't let my silence here make you think otherwise, lol.
Our 1st Month wedding anniversary, we joined our sister in welcoming our new niece to the family! Delivery went well and we enjoy getting to watch her grow and see how she merges into the new family.
Our 2nd Month wedding anniversary, we both had to work. We also wanted to increase the celebration and invite the cops to the house...I came home and could not get into the house. Our door had been locked from the inside. After my 3rd attempt at unlocking doorknob- checking to see if it would open-locking doorknob-repeat...I told myself "STOP, this isn't right. Call Dustin" I called him and asked if he left the house locked from the inside and went out the back for any reason, to which he replied no. I told him I could also see the kitchen light on. I hear an urgent "Get back in the car, I'm calling the police. I'm leaving work now." Dustin and I both work evening shift. I work 1-1 and he works 2-2a. Dustin's commute is about 40 min and that night was the FASTEST time he's ever made it home. Either that OR I was just in shock over everything else I wasn't paying much attention to have fast time was flying. The police arrived not long after we got off the phone and I was sitting in the car like a good girl, though I wanted to take a look at the back door. Our backyard had no motion sensor light at the time. It now does. AND we have extra bolts on the door and darker curtains for the windows...etc. The police went in through the back door while I waited in the car and came through the front door to ask me to come in and let him know what all might be missing. The back door had been broken in. Happy Anniversary! We had missing items, some more heart-breaking than others...our camera with memory card containing 2000+ pics with all our honeymoon pics still on them was taken. I am grateful for the pics I had already printed out but upset I hadn't made a back-up of the memory card before it was taken. So, half our honeymoon pics from the camera will never be seen again.. but we will just have to review our minds for our memories! The culprits did not trash the place but they did rummage through drawers seeking whatever quick cash or items they could find. They found the 2 guns and the ammo (I didn't even know where the ammo was), took tools, my jewely, a bottle of perfume and D's cologne...some petty items. But, we made it through and 2 months later still have no idea who broke into our home or where our belongings are now.
Our 3rd Month wedding anniversary we spent with family playing Train Dominos and Wii. Tons of fun!
So, there is my update on the biggest 'happening' since marriage for us. Hope you enjoyed...

This just makes me sick to think of your loss. Nothing can replace those treasures, but atleast you have your memories, health, safety & each other! Congratulations on all of the other happy things going on in your life! Miss you lots! -
You two were meant for each other and we're so glad you tied that knot! So sorry for this trial that hit you. May el-culpritos receive their just due, somehow, someway. -
all I can say is "I am a survivor" hope that thing will continue to get better. -
You've been married for 3 years?!?! That went fast! That stinks that your home got broken into!! But I'm glad you guys are safe and sound :) -
lol...oh okay, 3 months makes sense. I kept thinking that you hadn't been married for longer than me and Jesse. We haven't even been married 3 years yet, and I was thinking that you got married after us! haha -
Thanks for the mother's day wish! It has been an awesome experience having Logan. Can't wait to see you again one day. We are worshipping at Bellaire and live next to the med center. Where are you living? I'm sorry to hear about your house and camera and things. It seems like that kind of stuff is become more common than it used to. But like Melissa said, at least you have your memories, health and safety. : / -
I'm So glad it rained there! Looks like I'm getting rid of my germs before the baby comes. :) Miss you all! Don't know when I'll be home.... -
Thank you! -
Gene felt so much better today; he got the tube out and in the morning they will try him on liquids. We heard that many were being admitted through the ER today and the hospital was filling up!
