Spectacular Summer!

Wasn't hot here, even when it was supposed to break a record. However, it has been a "wunnerful" summer in my openonion; very little rain (although we do need some, the grass is turning brown) and temps in the 60's and 70's and a few 80's. More of the same is fine with me; it can rain while we're gone to WI next month, and then clear up for a great "indian summer."

Was 91 in Anacortes today. A record for these parts, and rather warm without A/C. They missed the forecast by several degrees. We stayed cool by going to Washington Park in NW Anacortes, where the sea breeze was very nice. Glad we were not in the Seattle area where it was 102* or above; hottest on record.

    I mean they missed with the forecast, because it was hotter than what they predicted: 85*.

    ^Picture is telephoto of Mt Baker taken when Mom was back at your place. Pleo cropped it square ... not as good as "landscape" size.
