My side

Ok I had to hurry and post this to get my side of the story in as i'm sure the perception was "slightly" different than my compadres.

So we're taking a walk...a long walk... I'd say we're about 3-4miles into this walk getting quite comfortable in shifting in and out of topics of discussion. Well we're approaching this side road that has a car stopped as he should be at the big red sign. Well the Stacer is perhaps a half step ahead of me when i realize i see something on the ground. Within a matter of a second i realize what this something is, where we are in relation to its position, and the fact that if i dont do something it wont be happy with us. So being the man I am, i suppress the girl-like scream and instead tell Stacey to stop.(I at this point have planted my feet - defensively of course - and grab her arm.) My kamikaze workout partner continues to move somehow thinking i'm speaking of the car 50yards down the sidewalk.

It becomes quite apparent as i'm gawking at the ground that it was more than the car and as expected Stacy reacts like Bionic woman herself. After launching herself a goodly distance vertically, she demonstrates her sprinting abilities for the poor creature.

Sure we were taking by suprise in the ambush, but worry not. We took no casulties, no injuries, and were able to evade the beast within a good one mile radius.

Stacy with the heart of a lion had to comment that he was leaving the golf course and therefore it must be his preferred sport....(Wording may differ)

Ok that's my take =D

Oh goodness!!!! I can't believe she didn't tell me! I can't imagine her reacting with the heart of a lion when face to face with said creature. Too funny!

Rachel told me this morning or last night. It's all a blur. I hate them too. Maybe a tad less than her, but still can't even look at them on tv on in a book. I'm glad you were with her!!

I remember no such golfing comment. I do remember wanting you to come on so we could cross the street. Thanks for leaving out the hyperventilating part.

North

Can't Sleep.

Should sleep, but cant sleep. Watched some interesting movies tonight - bad memories, no, they were good memories...just old thoughts surfaced because of them...so they are bad memories yet good =D

Regret - Do we because of our conscience? Fear a decision being a mistake? Or is it because we've left our comfort zone? I'm beginning to think this last is the most common for me.

Good stuff! My cousin messaged me today - havent heard from her in eons so I'm excited to get caught up. Hoping to persuade the lil lady to visit TN.

Must try to sleep now. Night!

Fridays

I love Fridays
Everyday is X number of days til Friday
Today in particular is a halfday for me (I hope), which means I get to hit the gym early and get tons of work done on the house.

I love Chocolate Milk
It's something I have grown to love as I didnt like it much when I was younger. I suppose the fact that cows are evil had something to do with that...who knows.
Carrot Cake goes well with Choco Milk - yes its true.

I love Carrot Cake - its the only cake IMO that can be compared to Pie...and as we all know Pie Cake.

What else do I love...Contacts! I can see again and dont have to wear my crazy glasses. Yay! Uhm and I love having 10minutes of do nothing time in the morning so I can post weird things on Pleo =D
  • nashvlle_bound
Did I really know that PieCake? I thought it was the other way around......I hear you're coming for the painting extravaganza tonight. Aren't you excited?

Allen = Awesome! Especially dealing with the dreaded wallpaper. How are we ever going to make it up to you? I guess it's looking like pie or carrot cake with chocolate milk!

Passing

I should have posted about this two days ago - I know others probably have. Known as Robert Jordan, James Rigney died on September 16th. There are many newslinks you can visit for details but he had been diagnosed with a rare blood disease which he fought valiantly. A man of his word, RJ told fans he would continue writing until they "Nailed the coffin shut".

I, like most of his fans had a very selfish response to the news inquiring about the final book he was in the process of writing. This man has created one of the greatest fantasy series ever and I can understand why many of us would think like that initially. Most of us would buy the book on the first day of release only to have read it all by the second. A year later we'd repeat the process and before we knew it we were up to book 11.

I'm going to link the blog that was posted by Wilson for the fans that haven't read it yet.

Robert Jordan
And with that I'd like to offer my condolences to the Jordan family.
  • nashvlle_bound
And my condolences to them as well. You've definitely gotten me interested in these books. Last night was fun, thanks for coming!

A First

Not extremely experienced, but I've seen my share of jobs and situations and have performed both poorly and badly in some of these regardless of how much an effort I put into them.
Today however, I received my first "reprimand". Oddly, I find this extremely humorous given the situation and am happy to have recieved this award...oh wait it's not an award.

It's 4:45, I decide that since my shift ends at 4:30 i'm going to pack up my stuff and head home. Well there was an email of an issue that i didnt get to because i was extremely busy and the priority was very low. I was going to let it sit until the following day that's how low it was. Well well, A manager - not mine any longer THANKFULLY! - didnt like this idea and asked if i was going to get to this most serious of issues(laugh). I ended up calling the person before I left, but that unfortunatley wasnt the end of it. This manager goes to my immediate supervisor and complains. Fortunately, I communicate with my supervisor and he was of like minds with my methods. I did get the "make it appear you're doing this" speech. What's really funny is - the issue, was not an issue at all.

This is just one more situation to fuel the desire to move to another company and grow. If any of you need a techy... =D
  • isaacgholman
office politics are weird. glad your supervisor was on your side!
