So... on Saturday night I wake up at about 3:30am by taking this BIG breathe and having my heart beating all weird and stuff. I lay there for a few minutes and I can totally feel my heart beating oddly. I call up my fiance and she comes right over. When I hear her pull up I go into the bathroom where I break out into a sweat, go all pasty, and start to pass out. So you can imagine Erin's surprise when as she walks into my bedroom to see me kinda faint onto my bed. She starts talking to me and listens to my heart beat, which she says was all screwy and missing a beat here and there.

Fun so far, isn't it?

Needless to say she winds up taking me to the emergency room. Once they take my blood pressure and see that I'm 190/146 (normal is like 120/80) they decide to admit me.

Well, to make a long story waaayyyyy shorter, it turns out that I have high blood pressure (no surprise there), an enlarged heart (the doc described it as 'beefy' which kinda made me feel proud... in a manly kinda way), and will probably be taking bp medicine for awhile.... or forever.

I'm feeling pretty good. If I don't think about my sore arms from all the blood they drew AND sore and itchy from all the places they had to shave in order to hook me up to various machines... I'm good. Tired, but good.

To all those that called and/or stopped by the hospital - Thanks. It meant a lot.

And if anyone who is reading this hangs out with me, do me a big favor... keep me from having caffeine. Not only will it keep me healthier but it will keep Erin from smacking me and stealing my drink... which will definately keep me healthier. She has a wicked left hook!


PS - thanks for all the well wishes and stuff re: my engagement. I am happily eyeball deep in things I never knew existed... but enjoying every minute of it.

I am now off the market.

Erin and I are engaged.

ANYWAY...

Here is a brief update. Try to stay awake.

(In no particular order)

- My sister Heather is pregnant with a boy. This will bring her total up to 2. Please pray for her that she chooses a name other than Ryder!

- My other sister, Megan, is now engaged. From what I hear he is a very nice... ummmm..... nerd? Hey... as long as he loves her and treats her well, what more could I want for her. I'm thrilled for them. But, after seeing a picture of him, I do wish he looked less like a leprechan. Who wears an 'underbeard'? Really! Who?

- I'm going to Florida in about a month for a friends wedding. I can't wait to go back. I miss Florida terribly. There are 2 reasons why I don't move back as of yesterday. 1. The church out here is the best I've ever attended. And 2. well, that takes me to my next topic...

- I met (well we've been dating for awhile now, over a year to be exact) a girl. (tee hee) If we aren't engaged by Xmas it means I've died.

- I will be going to the Nor Cal FC Camp as a counselor for the 3rd or 4th time as the NightActivities Coordinator. If it's a game, but not a sport, it's my territory. I also do the War Games and the Talent Show.

- Speaking of the theatrical... I will be taking over the reigns, Lord willing, of a children's theater company in a nearby town come the fall. I think the musical Suessical is to be our first production under my direction. To say I'm excited would be the understatement of the millenia.

Okay. That's all for now. I need to go have lunch, I'm starved.

Yeah... so.... I just realized I hadn't been on here in awhile.

Well.... what has been up with me?

1. I just finished Stage Managing "SCROOGE" for the holidays.
2. I went to Disneyland for 5 days and had a stinkin' blast!
3. I'm about to start rehearsals for another show that opens in Feb.
4. I got everything I asked for from Santa (I guess I finally figured out how to be good for a change).
