I'm doing pretty well. School is going great I love it. Nothing new is going down I've been kinda bored lately. So can you tell me how your doing and what's new with you? I hope everyone is doing well.

i got a new gator hoodie, i have two weeks left til my big five week break, and i have almost got all of my christmas shopping done! i bought you a gator jersey!

doing great! I am in fact working on making bible class lessons for the little kids at church and later after some observation I'm going to take over the class. I am really excited about this oppertunity to teach the younger kids. My sister got married. (thus for the abundance of wedding photos) ummmm...I've gotten closer to brethren wich is always good. bout it right now....lol : )

No I don't have a facebook. : ( my uncle works with a big computer industry that tracks and "debugs" computers and websites, and he told us not to get facebooks, so my dad is very strict that I can't get one. : ( sorry.

Well we had a baptism at our congregation recently! Zion is doing alright. It's nice to have Quinton here. I've been hangin' with friends but for some reason it's not the same as hangin' at Camp NOAH. I really miss all of my friends at Camp NOAH so much!!
I've been dreading the start of freshman year. Does anybody have any advice on high school and also does anybody have any advice on how I can be a better influence on other people when I'm in high school? I hope and pray that everybody is doing well. I love you all. -peace!

don't worry about high school, brother. I was worried sick going into my freshman year and it's a big letdown (in a good way). everyone's doing their own thing with their own little group. just worry about your grades, cause high school is when grades really start to matter. don't be late to classes and rack up detentions like i did. man those were annoying. if, however, you do get a detention...go to it. don't just drive home like i did. you think detentions are annoying? wait 'til you have a saturday school.
and as far as your influence goes...here's my sisterly advice:
the best way you can influence someone is by resisting influence yourself. when you are confident in your choices and beliefs people will notice. some people will try to influence you in a bad way, other people will try to make you feel like your way is stupid (but they only do that because they're immature or insecure). but there are still other people who will notice you and respect you and feed off of your confidence (giving them some of their own)...plus you're like the nicest boy that Midview has ever seen so, you got that going for you too. :)

Just do you Ray. When we are ourselves ,as christians, we truly are the candle that is put into lampstand illuminating the entire room. When we decide that we need to "change" that is when we are metaphoically hiding ourselves under the bushell. You have been blessed with humor compassion and an out going personality. Use them all do not bury your talents in the sand. The second advice that I could give you is to remember that EVERYONE is having a tough time adjusting to the new situations that high school presents. They may not ever admitt it to anyone but everyone is having some sort of problem you are not alone.

I know it may not seem like it now, but trust me when I tell you that once you graduate from High School, you will probably never see most of those people again. Be nice to EVERYONE...not just the people you think are "cool". You never know who you can affect just by being nice. When and if anyone ever tries to make you look/feel stupid for your beliefs, just try to feel sorry for them instead of feeling sorry for yourself. You are a member of an army (the church) that we already know will win the fight. You just have to remember daily (or hourly sometimes) which side you want to fight for - the winning side or the losing one.

I would say that the biggest difference between High School and Middle School is that in High School, kids are starting to turn into adults. And when kids think that they are mature enough to do adult things, they start making stupid choices and acting foolish. Just beware that some of the people that you know don't have the moral compass that you do and will make some poor decisions along their way to growing up. But that doesn't make them cooler or more mature even though they and everyone around them may think so. I had several people that I went to school with tell me that they had wished they hadn't done some of the things they did back then - even though they made fun of me for not doing them. :)

And seniors aren't really mean to freshman. That was a big lie that "the man" used to try to hold us down. :)

Just be yourself, Raylon, and keep your head on straight. Don't follow -- LEAD!! I'm starting a new job at a new school next week, so I can relate to some of your dread. We'll be ok. We have each other, and we know we have our Camp NOAH buds to connect with whenever we need to.

I've been waiting all year for Camp NOAH to start!! I'm really looking forward to seeing all of my friends because I miss them so much!!! Also one of my best friends from our congregation is coming this year and having him there will just make better. Then again I did have an amazing week last year and I've been hopeing and praying that I will be a better influence and encouragement to whoever I meet. I've been praying that I can form closer bonds with friends that I met last year!!!

Maybe you can come back from camp this year with a better attitude. You're always so negative, Ray! :) Just kidding.
