God's Timing!

There's always a light at the end of the tunnel...we just dont know how long that tunnel will be...
God always has the power to redeem us from our situations; sometimes He just waits to use the right conduit to bring us His blessings.
I say all these vague, spiritual things because I totally got to see them come into play before my very eyes after six months of waiting, enduring, striving, trying.

The good news: I have a new job!!
And guess how it happened? The condensed version:
Nicole spends hours and hours and months and months creating, typing, updating dozens and dozens of resumes.
Nicole spends hours and months going to dozens of interviews and making hundreds of followup calls.
Nicole almost gets a couple jobs, but doesn't.
Repeat #1.
Finally, Nicole hears of a friend who is going through some tough times and reaches out to help them.
This precedes any correlation between said friend & job opportunity.
Nicole builds bond with friend, expecting nothing in return.
One night, friend calls up and says, I think we may have an opening for you where I work.
Next morning, the Boss calls and sets up an interview.
The day after that, I interview and get the job.

Man..........maybe God was waiting for me to do something FOR SOMEONE ELSE for the RIGHT REASON and have that person bless me in return when I wasn't expecting it! ALSO let it be noted that the night he called me, I finally prayed a different prayer, that sounded something like, 'God, I'm going to quit asking you to remove my pain. I'm going to quit telling you what I want, and I'm going to ask for Your Will, and for me to FIND THE LESSON in all this. I am powerless and so I surrender to your will. I will stop seeking the absence of pain and will instead seek the Lesson." then...that night..i get a call.

Now you can over, under, or un-analyze all this if you want. i'm just sayin', It looks like God definitely gets the glory and He knows what He's doin.
Every good and perfect gift comes from above. This was definitely good.

You are now looking at the blog entry of the brand new Art Coordinator at a Graphic Design firm.

That is awesome. I will try to remember that one. I once committed a line from some dumb show that I'm still waiting to use: "You ain't exactly the last ham sandwich in hungry town, now are you?" That one never seems to apply! :)

The most wonderful thing about that statement is that everyone agrees, not believing they are the "religious nut" and then immediately return to being silly and elitist. Thank you, Nicole.

^Fred Penner sang that song when you were a little one. I watched a video and he has white hair and beard now! The guy playing the tuba, the way the cup and saucer quaked when he played, burdocks on his tongue and when he pulled the welcome mat in under the door cracked me up.

word. Same thing happens bc of our stance on traditions. We all deny the authority of tradition in sweeping fashion, and then sit rest on our delusion that our interpretions & practices stand alone as God-approved.

By Dew Blog Edtry (said with stuffy nose)

So, it turns out getting rid of a sinus infection is just as hard as finding decent employment these days.
I have not been able to breathe through my nose...for over a week straight now. (This has ranged from the simple "I can't taste my dinner" to "I think Nicole needs an interpreter for her new sans-sinus-echo vernacular"..)
I have tried everything. And by everything, I mean:
-The usual array of OTC sinus medications
-Afrin nasal spray
-Mentholatum gel
-a Eucalyptus steam room
-Sinus irrigation ("Neti Pot"...man I almost drowned like nine times)
and even (mom please dont kill me)
-Snorting a line of crushed red pepper

All of these may have provided .5 seconds worth of relief (or, for the latterpart, torture) so i finally had to make the call today...
To get antibiotics.
Man, I can't wait to be able to say my name at work again and not have it sound like I'm calling someone a crass insult..

So there you have it! By Dew Blog Edtry! :)

AND while I have your attention, let me give you some words of advice I received this morning:
"You don't have to love everyone by their actions, but at least love their soul. Wish them well the way you would for yourself."
Hmmm..
  • kailua
"By Dew Blog Edtry" - that is lol funny! So is "getting rid of a sinus infection is just as hard as finding decent employment these days"

I know about Lisa V. or any of the other's who were at camp that year. 8-D

"Snorting a line of crushed red pepper" - when you think about that, it speaks for itself.8-\ Who's 'not so great' idea was that? That's not meant to be used like that.

    Feel better soon!

Snorting a line of crushed red pepper is crazy!!!!!!! Next time, call and ask if something is supposed to go up your nose. Ha!

Yeah, the only time it's okay to snort is when you laugh! Tell that girl at church who who suggested it to you that ... never mind. I love you.
