Take that, Zelda!
My son has always liked the Zelda games. He got a new one from his aunt for his birthday last week. Well, it includes a part where you have to "play" a flute. Robert has been very frustrated with this part of the game. At one point two days ago, he said he was going to quit because although he played it perfectly, the game wouldn't accept his attempts. He went online to find out that he wasn't the only one frustrated with this aspect of the game. Since he was giving up, I offered to give it the Mom try. I did a practice round and played horribly. When the actual time came, I gave it a shot playing a little off. Guess what? It accepted my very imperfect tune. Poor Robert. He was ready to scream.
This morning a flute playing part came up again. He's tried all morning. Finally he handed it over, and once again Mom has triumphed over Zelda on her first attempt. I sounded awful compared to him, but it didn't matter to the game.
There is a definite flaw in the game! I'm just glad my imprecise playing makes me still feel needed!

No flaw in the game...Moms just rock! :) -
The dumming down of our society. If it only let folks succeed that were good at it, all the rest of the people would feel bad about themselves. -
It IS great to feel needed, isn't it? :)
