Have we forgot?

Have we forgot?
Someone who I will not mention, asked me a question tonight. I quickly blurted out an answer, but later as I thought about it, I began to wish I had answered in a different way. The question was posed like this: “What do you think about this world, would you want to bring innocent children into this horrible world, for bad things to happen to them?” I quickly answered that I do not really belive the world is any worse off than it’s ever been, that just because of more prevelant media we hear about the bad more often.
Later while taking a shower a song made it’s way into the incesant rambling that occurs in my head. “How sweet to hold a new born baby, and feel the pride and joy he gives; but greater still the calm assurance that this child can face uncertain days because he lives.”
So now… Have we forgot that Jesus Lives? Jesus came to this horrible world (I still stick to my original answer and just add to it) and he lived a sinless life. He died, and overcome death and was raised, and since then he has not died, for that matter he never will.
Have we forgot our purpose on this earth? We are not here for bad things to happen to us, we are not here to make this world a better place, we are hear to make the “next world” (the heavenly world) a better place. We are hear to worship and glorify a God who lives.
So sure, bad things happen in this world, often to good people, but we who are christians are better off in that we have hope of the “next world”.

wow....yeah, i agree. very good answer. it's a very calming feeling to know that no matter WHAT happens, and i mean anything that could possibly happen, God will always take care of His people. That just makes everything seem okay. :D

This is my favorite

Reason, Season and Lifetime

..

People always come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

..

When someone is in your life for a REASON,

it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty,

or to provide you with guidance and support,

to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time,

this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they just walk away.

Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

...

When people come into your life for a SEASON,

it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.

They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall,

the season eventually ends.

...

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;

those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);

and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being part of my life.

Hit and Run ... Need your help

Guys, Me and Marisol were involved in a horrible hit and run. We are okay, a little shook up but alright. I am mad, I want to find her and punch her in the face. We were leaving the Robinson's and right after the church driveway I saw it coming, I slammed on the brakes and got in the left hand lane to no avail. The chick slammed into my passenger side door, right where Marisol was sitting. In all of the confusion she ran off. Many of you know my record with Garden Ridge's Finest. They couldn't catch a real criminal if their life depended on it, they just like the non-criminals that they can treat like criminals to boost their ego or something. Anyhow.

I don't know how she did not see me coming, SHE slammed into the SIDE of me. Did she not see me in FRONT of her??? Urg.

Three cars behind me got a good description of the culprit. An artist made a sketch, please please get the word out to everyone you know to help track her down.

There is a sketch here.

    by windham4life at 05/05/07 3:06AM

I don't know what this is about.

Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah they were all yellow,

I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow

So then I took my turn
Oh all the things I've done
And it was all yellow

Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
D'you know you know I love you so
You know I love you so

I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh all the things you do
Cause you were all yellow

I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow

Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
D'you know for you i bleed myself dry
For you i bleed myself dry

Its true look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine
look at the stars look how they shine for you
