So watcha, watcha, watcha want?

Wow, I have been horrible about blogging right? Welp, I am all done with school. My extern was awesome! I was working in a periodontal office doing chairside assisting on a whole mess of surgeries. It was big fun. I worked with a great group of people who were all ready to help out and answer questions so that was cool. For those who don't know Periodontics is working with diseased gums. We had some patients whose gums were so bad we had to do gum flap surgery on the whole mouth! That means we had to go in, pull the gums away from the tooth, and scrape out all the disease, also known as plaque. That was the cool part. You would not believe how gross that all looks. It was really cool. We had one patient who was probably the worst scenario ever. He was a big guy who fell asleep in the chair and he had sleep apnea. So during the surgery he would do that stop breathing thing and then this weird snoring thing where the moisture collecting at the back of his throat would come spurting out. It was a very hard case. We also had some people who were overly upset about the procedures and would just starting crying about things that hadn't even happened yet.

*So anyway now I am waiting to get a job. I have put in applications everywhere! So far I have only recieved two call backs but thye have been both promising. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. One job was at an Orthodontics office so that would be braces and stuff like that. I had an interview there and was invited back for a working interview and lunch interview. That was all very interesting. The office was very nice and the ladies there were very sweet. The other office is Endodontics which has to do with root canals and such. I went in for an interview which was a group interview which was odd but I think I did well. We also did a tour of the office. It was a beautiful office. Hopefully I will get a call back today about that job.

*Milo will be 16 this week. Again how did this time go by so fast. He has joined me at the YMCA but he works out in the pool doing laps. He has lost about 15 pounds and looks great! (I have lost 20 pounds and still need to lose about 15-20 more.)

*Ward is working in Killeen and loves his new job. It's with the same company but he isn't doing the same thing. He's doing a q.a. kinda thing, training nurses and helping the nurses do a better job. He's having fun so we're all happy about that.

*Terrance is doing excellent. He's getting ready for 5th grade. He had some trouble with bullies but that's to be expected. Milo went through the same thing. That's what happens when you try to be yourself. Haters. Whatcha gonna do?

*Khalia is still a sweet goofball of a girl. She is also excited about 3rd grade. We've had a little problem with her. She can be a little scatter-brained. So we have been working with her as far as her concentration goes. I'll post pics soon.

*Chloe, my little buttercup! She is growing up so fast. Too fast sometimes. She is also doing so good. She was tested for TAG in reading and math. She has always loved numbers so I wasn't to shocked about the math test.

*We are so happy that Lost is over for the season. I love that show but, man, it can almost consume one's life. So know we have the NBA Finals to get through. Did you really think I could blog and not mention the NBA? So my Beloved Spurs are out and now the Celtics? I almost can't believe it. Game 7, they played like they didn't care. It was a sad game. So now it's all about the Cav's. Bring it home Lebron! I would love to see it be the Laker's V. The Cav's. Just to see the look of defeat on Kobe's face. Although I do like Pau Gasol's game.

*Here is a clip I found this morning of some funny moments from The Office. I don't watch this show anymore due to the fact that Ward and I chose to not get involved in too much TV. Anyway, this is hilarious!!!! Enjoy!

Have a great day! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
