6 months and counting!!!!

As most of you know I had my kidney transplant April 2nd, 2008. Yesterday was our 6 month anniversary! Ward and I are still doing great, thank God. Hallelujah! I am so blessed and I thank you all for prayers and support.

School has so far been going really well. I get a long with all my classmates. I can't believe how much I have learned already in only 3 weeks! It's been hard changing my schedule but thankfully my family, especially my husband, have been so supportive and helpful. He and I had a most awesome talk the other day. I was coming home and right away starting in on the housework; cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. He made me sit down, stop working and said in a most firm voice, "You need to stop! Sit down and quit trying to do it all!" I had honestly thought that I was letting them all help but I guess I just can't let it all go. Silly me! I am trying. Anyway, I have so far had about 5 exams which are 50% of your grade. My grades were 93, 95, 100, and 100. I took two more exams Wednesday and Thursday. I'm pretty confident about Wed's but not so much about Thursday, maybe like a 71. (70 is passing :D) Just in case you don't know I'm doing Dental Assisting.

The children? They are doing really well. Milo is loving 10th grade and I am so proud of him. He struggles with some stuff still but he's been trudging on. He has been talking about spiritual stuff a lot more lately and that is always good to hear, right? Terrance and Khalia are in an afterschool program called ASPIRE. They LOVE it! They do their homework first, have a snack and then play games until I pick them up around 5:15. Chloe is still kickin it with me. She is doing awesome at school! She is reading so well and still loves her numbers. I think I need to pray with her more often though. Khalia has me a little concerned. She wears glasses as most of you know. I have gotten so used to her with them on and then the other day she took them off for some reason. I realized she is becoming a beautiful young lady! Honestly it kind of scared me. I think she's going to be homeschooled or doing the private school thing in middle school. I have tried to teach her about beauty on the inside but with all her little friends at school, I am really needing to pick it up.

We went to Zilker park about 2 weeks ago and had the greatest time! They had a Dino exhibit happening in the Botanicle gardens. It was so amazing! The children had so much fun, as did I.

One thing I am really proud of is how little we have our TV on lately. I think it's been about maybe one hour a day. The evenings are harder. I'm trying to cut that down to about an hour an evening but again it is so hard. The children aren't even really watching TV in the evening so they really don't watch it anymore. On the weekend though, it's on.

so is this long enough? Have a great day, y'all! God bless you and keep your eyes open or you'll miss it....

That was some great info! I'm so thankful you are feeling so good I love that you are training to be a dental assistant. That is something I strongly considered.
