New year, new challenges...
On the happy side, we are having a 1st birthday party for James this weekend. I can not believe that it has been a year! He is a tiny little man, but so cute.
On the other hand, the air force is hitting Steve's job group very hard in this upcoming set of layoffs and we are having to reconsider our future plans. He can opt to get out this year and get more separation pay, or wait to see if they force him out early next year. If God has decided that we have accomplished what He had in mind for us in the air force, it will be interesting to see what He has in mind next. But, Steve has really enjoyed his time as an officer and I am a little sad to get out before getting to go overseas. Still, at least we haven't had to suffer through long separations and danger on his part - maybe now we never will. Anyway, that is the major concern in our life at the moment. Prayers for guidance, and an easy transition if transition is necessary would be much appreciated.
