The rv's are here, the lights at jordan-hare are on--football is finally here. Its not like ive been waiting for this for a couple weeks...ive been waiting for 9 months and the day has come
College football kicked off tonight officially as miss. st. is playing south carolina. I was unable to watch this as i was kicking off my own football season with my intramural flag football team. I caught about a 25-30 yard pass and walked into the endzone and the flag happy ref said i was "flag guarding" even though there was no one within 5 yards to guard my flag from....anywho it was a lot of fun and we crushed the other team-I expect great things. I also expect great things from the auburn stinkin tigers...im ready to get real loud and show those northerners what college football is all about; anyone who wants to sit with us in the endzone of the student section lemme know--its sure to be AU-some(awesome?) so i decided what im doing for the game- it isn't a theme or anything really, i just went out and bought paint for my face and im just gonna dress to impress...ESPN. So if you sit in the endzone, prepare for tv time..........my brother is coming down, i would appreciate it greatly if you all will help me make sure he doesnt catch on fire(he has before, ill tell the story later if you havnt heard) :)

That is correct my friends, today is a scorcher and yet i still have goosebumps...why, you ask? ill tell you--two words; rhymes with rawburn putball--i think you know where i'm going with this. So i have to decide what theme i am going to go with for the first game. This is important so im going to show you with pictures my options so far; tell me if you have any suggestions:
I suppose first off i could go with the classic "all auburn, all orange"
That's always good to fall back on, but in order to be recognized on ESPN you have to stand out-not blend in. Next, I could go with my personal favorite....the ninja turtle
While the green shirt in the sea of orange ensures t.v. time, i'm still not sure how much sense it makes.
Next, braveheart is definately a possibility; i have never been a part of this clever theme
this always inspires a great pregame speech about freedom, and i like it
Finally, i could just go as a confused bama fan....
but that just wouldn't be smart :-]
Now all i need to do is call my girl up to see if she wants to go with me

so i havent been on pleo in quite a while, so i hope that u all havnt forgotten about your friend tito; i still love you all so "keep cool my babies"...Now to explain the title of my post--yesterday, in our elation and excitment about the upcoming football game(29 days away) me and my housemates "b" and "d", as i have dubbed them so cleverly, went to watch the open football practice at the intramural fields; we saw david and kenny irons doin their thing along with cou'tney stinkin taylor (my......brotha') That was cool but it was kinda hot and we couldn't really see anyone except for the big sweaty d line, so we decided to go check out the massiveness of the jordan-hare stadium and bask in its glory/shadow. Too our suprise, gate 8 happened to be wide upon bidding us to come in, as if to say "come in auburn children, and soak up the awesomeness of vast stadium seating and a lush green field...and while your here-check the new bathrooms" O.K. that is stupid, and obviously gate 8 cant do any talking or bidding; regardless, we did venture into tunnel 25 and we sat in silence staring at the beauty of the field as a single tear fell from blake's eye--and then turned into intense sobbing: david and i awkwardly pretended not to notice, a man drove by on a golf cart but somehow did not see us- we then went into the new improved bathrooms (they really needed it, they were so outdated the only way i could describe them would be to say "pee troughs")Anywho, the urinals were quite nice--so we did what i assume any other guy would do...we "christened" them-by that i mean we peed in them; if you think that sounds stupid, how many people do u know who could say they were the first to use the jordan-hare urinals-thats why im proud---im ready for football that is all...except that kenny irons is now sitting at a computer right outside the helpdesk-- hes huge

This past weekend was amazingly fun. i thought i was going to be sitting at home doing nothing wishing i was doing something. my lil bro came into town and managed to stay away from open flames so fortunately he didnt catch on fire(which he has done before in auburn if you don't know) so anyway, i was at home on saturday feeling like a bum so i decided to go get a haircut--i thought that would be productive and waste about a half hour. but they were "booked" then i remembered will childress had called and told me that he was gonna be in town along with a collection of some of the coolest guys in the world so i called them up and we played kick ball in keisal park(check out my link for a stinkin awesome video of this) later that day i played tennis with wilbur as my partner against seth warren and byn ly. we go beat in a tiebreaker; sunday, i played volleyball which equaled to great fun. then seth warren and his brother noah stayed at my place for the night and we had an awesome time. they taught us some crazy form of dance from california known as "hyphy" which could also be desribed as "going dumb" or "getting stupid." it was hilarious. so the next night we decided to play volleyball but ended up playing "nuke 'em" instead. remind me to tell you all about the world records im in training to break




'update'--today, andrew hall threw an egg to me from 90-95 yards away and i caught it without it cracking....the world record is 107 yards and we are gonna break it ; everyone will be invited to the taping of this feat at the intramural fields

first of all i want to express my anger; i had a very large post written up and somehow i just deleted it all-so realize that what you're getting is a second rate post. hopefully it will be comparable to the first. so...i hope that everyone has had a very good break(feel free to comment on how good/bad your break was exactly) now we all have to return to harsh cruel reality, where food and sleep are a luxaries that are hard to come by...at least for me. but im feelin especially good-i had a very refreshing and much needed break and i am currently having a good first day back at school. while i feel that only a book or short story would give justice to the story of my break, i feel that i should tell u anything u need to know by word of mouth and simply give yall the main points. over my break i:

1) recieved a mandolin and poker chips for christmas and played the fool out of it(needless to say, im refering to the mandolin)
2) i shot a deer...a six point to be exact
3) i watched the whole 4th season of the hit tv show "24"
4) i went to the capital one bowl in orlando; the game sucked really bad...but orlando is a really cool place.

so anyway i would love to tell you all about all the many crazy things i did in orlando..but it would take too long.
