Vacation
Update on our vacation :)
We left for Arkansas Friday night to see Andrew's parents, niece, his sister, and her family . Spent all day Saturday packing for our camping trip. Sunday after morning services, we left for Buffalo river. The drive was pretty cool, a lot of pretty scenery and hills. As I was trying to navigate on my phone for Andrew I started feeling carsick :/ Stopped to pick up some Dramamine and laid down the rest of the way. Our camp site was in a corner and it was perfect for the 12 of us! I regret not taking any pictures but we were too busy having fun :) It was definitely not a laid back camping trip. Andrew and I are not really campers because something always seems to go wrong but we enjoyed this trip. Andrew's parents had a trailer so we got to stay in that while camping :) My SIL stayed in the tent we brought.
Monday, we went canoeing. Some liked this trip and some did not. The water was SO low that most areas of th 3 miles of the canoe trip we had to drag our canoe across the rocks :/ And of course, the flip flops I bought for Andrew broke so I was the one who had to push our canoe! We enjoyed stopping in the deep areas to go swimming! Claire got fussy towards the end and Grandma was able to get her to sleep :) Katie took to a nap with her too.
Tuesday was Silver Dollar City! I took Katie on some of the kiddie rides and Katie LOVED it!!! She rode her first roller coaster! :) We didn't ride a lot of the roller coasters since Claire was with us. We were planning to do that the next day while Claire stayed with Grandma. Later the night we stopped for dinner at a place called Fall Creek Steak and Catfish house. This place also throws rolls and they were SO good!! All of the food was good! We had bought 2 day passes to Silver Dollar City for the price of one so we went the next day too. Although, it was very disappointing because most of the rides were shut down the whole day because there was a storm 10 miles away :( I hadn't decided if I was going to ride since I don't like the big drops but I was going to take Katie on her rides. She was disappointed she couldn't ride the "swing ride". She rode an indoor roller coaster called "Fire in the hole" and she didn't like that one, lol. Before the rides shut down, she went on a water ride were you shoot water at others and they shoot water back at
you. Katie had a blast doing that :) We were soaked at the end of the ride! After 3 hours the rides started back up again for 20 minutes and Katie was able to do 3 rides by herself and as we were sitting on the swings they shut the rides down again :( Oh well. We headed back to my in-laws after that.
Headed back last night and I started feeling carsick again :( Andrew just HAD to take the hilly and curvy roads, lol! The parts I saw were really beautiful! We saw the sun setting as we were passing a lake. Wanted to take a picture but Andrew didn't want to stop.
We are staying until Sunday and have no plans the rest of the week! Time to relax :)

Glad your having fun! Those roads are not good for me any longer either. Little better when I'm driving though. -
SOunds like a fun trip - execpt for the "dragging a canoe full of Andrew" part. -
I get SO carsick, to the point where I just drive everywhere now, b/c it's easier than dealing with me feeling sick! And dramamine doesn't help mine. :( -

I get sick when looking at my phone for the directions too! I got a little car sick in Ireland doing that. Have fun!!!
