Life's extras

Springtime in Rankin County, Mississippi -- We had a taste of it yesterday. Even the robins were out, chirping their praises in the sunny, seventy-degree weather. "All things praise Thee, Lord, may we!" "The heavens declare the glory of God," and so do the winter woodlands, in a quiet way. Yesterday was one of life's extras God sends us because of His love. May our eyes continually be on Him.

    Call just came from Rosie in Temple Terrace. Christina was baptized into Christ last night about 10:30! All are rejoicing!

    We went to lectures and were able to be present for Christina's baptism. :-) It was nice and warm down there and then we get home to 38 degree weather. Brrr...glad you got to enjoy some warm weather.

    We are home. We got on yesterday. We are very tired but I hope we can catch up this week. Heather's schoolteacher came back with us (her class came down to go to Seaworld and Epcot) We had a good religous discussion and we are going to try to set up a bible study this week. We feel very pressed for time because she and her husband are moving back to Wisconsin at the end of the school year. She said one reason they were moving back was because they felt they were getting spiritually weak here. She said she wanted to come worship with us so I hope her husband will be as receptive.

    We had robins all over our yard this morning, even though we had a hard frost last night. Here and there the daffodils keep trying to come out -- then getting frozen. But spring IS coming -- I love that verse that says "Summer and winter and seedtime and harvest, sun, moon, and stars in their courses above join with all nature in manifold witness of Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love."
