Logan was sitting on my lap yesterday and passed gas. He looked up at me and said "Did you hear that"? I laughed so hard! It still makes me laugh thinking about it. Something else I wanted to add that Logan said tonight...it was starting to rain outside and Logan said it's crying!

Some of you know that my son, Logan, has been dealing with a fistula type problem for most of his life. We have been through numerous tests. When this thing flares up...it is about the size of a small or a large grape. Then 1-2 abscesses will grow on top of it. We have been waiting for another one to flare up, and we got one yesterday. The radiologist wanted him to come to the hospital immediately after the abscess burst. I told Paul that it was like waiting for a pregnant woman's water to break. I was ready this time...I brought home a bacterial culture swab...and POP....it burst about 9:00 last night. I cultured the contents of the abscess and called the hospital. They told me we could wait for this morning. It is SO hard to take your child to something that you know will hurt them. The fistulagram is basically when they stick a butterfly type needle into the opening of the abscess and inject saline into it to see if there is a fistula. Logan got NO numbing medication. His poor little body just shook and big tears rolled out of his big blue eyes. He was whispering "no". He held still while this doctor did this four times. It was awful. Then the doctor tells me that it would be better if he could do it when Logan was sedated. Hmmm...you didn't know this before you started?? We are very frustrated and now we must wait for another "grape" to develop and then rush him up the surgeon. Isn't it ironic when your child cries you cry...and when you call your mom to talk to her crying...she cries with you?

We have been at the new house for a little over a week. It is coming along so good. We still have plenty of things left to do, but it is liveable. There has been so much blood, sweat, tears, and lack of sleep- but it's well worth it. The only thing we had someone outside of the family do is the carpet and duct work for the heater. There is so much space...and I am thinking what a great place for my collection of Halloween decorations.

Well, I got my acceptance letter in the mail today. I won't get too emotional (I already have earlier). I have been going to school for the last 6 or 7 years taking a couple classes at a time at night or online. There are SO many pre-reqs to be able to apply to the nursing program- and every school is different. I see that light at the end of the tunnel now. So...I have officially four years of school left (including my masters). Woo-hoo!! Someday I may be putting some of you to sleep...the last thing you see before you have surgery. Awww...what a comforting thought!! Ha!! I had some great people helping me out and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Maybe I'll minor in algebra because I took it enough times to have a degree in it!! Sims dummies here I come!

In the entryway to the new home...there is the most BEAUTIUFL chandelier in the whole world. Cough, cough. It's the old school big crystal looking thing with these golfball size crystal balls hanging in the center. Well...I went to Home Depot to pick out new light fixtures and fans for the place. I picked out three new ceiling fans, a new chandelier, and four new sets of bathroom lights. The funniest part about it all was when I was looking at all the choices of chandeliers Home Depot had to offer...I spotted that crystal chandelier that we have in our home hanging in Home Depot!! I could not believe it- and it was 139.00 bucks. I am guessing the previous owners bought the only one of those and it's sister is still at Home Depot. Another good thing is that I might be able to sell the old one for more money than I thought in the garage sale! Ha!! Maybe I should give it to Ben and Ashley for a wedding gift.....hmmmm. Maybe they won't notice it's the one from our the house. I'll throw in the fruit lightswitch plates to sweeten the present.
