I can not believe that I haven't posted in awhile...I seem to be fading out as the others on this Pleo site...so I applaud all those who are still alive and writing! Ross and I had a wonderful holiday in Colorado with both sets of parents. We were and ARE truly blessed to have BOTH sets of parents who are devoted to the Lord and love one another and...live but 15mins away from one another..in one of the COOLEST states EVER!!! I got to stay 3weeks in Colorado..which is great, cuz when you do have two WHOLE families come together for the holidays..there's lots going on ..and I'd rather have MORE time to do stuff than not enough!

We came home to both of our feet hittin' the ground and runnin'! I was asked to tutor 2 more students in math (5th & 6th grade) but ...I just couldn't put another thing on the ol' plato' ...the girl I tutor for 3hours a week as it is has been good for me to refresh on the basic math stuff..but it can be hard to juggle stuff that just comes up like: Ross and I might to KY next week to see my Granny...well one tutor student to cancel or reschedule is fine..but 3 gets difficult. Plus (and stop me if I've told you this already) I babysit a little boy, who will be 2yrs old in March, 2days a week....which (starting next week) is changing to 3days a week. He is a DOLL!!! I LOVE HIM!!! I would have 2 of him if I could..and then 2 little girls to even things out (gotta have my princesses!)! In fact, right now he's making me giggle cuz he's singing in his highchair...he's singing like Boo from Pixar's "Monster's Inc." ...adorable!!

We are still just LOVIN' our Brea..she really is SUCH a good doggie! We took her home with us to CO and EVERYONE loved her..or at least that's what they tell me ;-) But all in all our New Year has started out wonderful! We have some fun trips ALREADY planned for the year (Lord willing) and resolutions to accomplish w/ the Lord's help. Hope your New Year has begun wonderful as well too! :-)

Well I have been on Weight Watchers for a month and half ...and have been doing a 6-week work out program (I'm currently on Week 5 and have done Week 4 twice!) and have to say...I have only lost 6 lbs. Tomorrow is my weigh in and I'm hoping another two have melted off. But that's life ..or at least a female's life. A guy THINKS about losing weight and WAHLA the next morning he has lost 10lbs!!! I know I have lost inches in the waist and in the "trunk" so I'm happy. It's the tummy area that seems to take F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get down!! ...it's like the school bus I guess..the first kids to get on, are the last kids to get off.

In other news: tomorrow Ross and I are going camping w/ family and friends near Little Rock, AR and we are SUPER excited!!! I know Ross is excited about the whole camping expedition in general...but what he is MOST excited about and just smiles about all the time is....the fact that we are bringing Brea!!!! He's so cute! The other day we went out and bought her two sweaters at the store Ross and well...let's just say..I've become "that dog person" that I promised I would never become!!! But alas...I have gone to the Dark Side...and think puppies are the best and that MINE is marvelously smarter than anyone! ;-)

I'm staying busy these days w/; tutoring a 5th grader twice a week (which...yes I am smarter than), babysitting a little 19month old boy from church twice a week, subbing twice a week, puppy class on Saturdays, a Bible study that Ross and I are doing w/ another young couple from church (they have become SUCH dear and best friends w/ us!), teaching Bible class on Sundays....and planning get-togethers/showers/parties. I am currently planning a HUGE Halloween Party for next Saturday. And I'm SUPER excited!!!! As of right now we have about 75 people coming...so I'm way thrilled about this...but a little nervous..cuz you know..I don't want the party to suck or seem lame! I'll post pics after the party is over. Oh and we are DEFINITELY dressing up...I've ALWAYS been into dressing up!!! Whether if be for: Spirit Week @ school, or costume parties, or themed parties, or even to go see a fun movie!!! I'm 28 I know..don't remind me.

Well today is a PRECIOUS day to my heart!! On this day...two years ago..I was out in FL to go to a Ladies Day Weekend in Tampa...after which 4 friends of mine and I went to the Happiest Place on Earth!! When we finally got there and inside the Magic Kingdom...my best friend Kristen said: "hey, let's go down to the castle and take a picture before we do anything else!" ..I said GREAT! And skipped (LITERALLY) my way down Main Street USA as I sang a Disney Princess song I heard over the speakers. When we got there..I started noticing that something was walking toward me and my friend Kristen was sort of looking at me smiling...I looked at her..then looked back at the person walking right up to me...and finally realized it was.........my ROSSY POO!!!! He and my sister, Kelli, had been there ALL DAY waiting for me to show up!! What a surprise!! I was so excited to see him (of which I hadn't for two weeks...) ...and as I went to hug him and ask him what he was doing here...he sort of hugged, dragged and laughed me over to somewhere in front of castle...pulled away...and then DROPPED TO ONE KNEE....pulled a blue box out of his pocket and said "Laura Lee? ....will you marry me?" ....needless to say I was ALL goosebumps, giggles, shock and struggling for air as I was laughing so hard!!!!! I hugged him...and said ...okay more like YELLED: "YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!" it was quite a event...which I will ALWAYS cherish!!!!! I had me QUITE fooled in thinking that the NEXT weekend would be the "special day" since he told me reserve that day for HIM alone and pick out something fun to wear! He had my sister, sister-in-law, brothers, sister-in-law (to-be) and best friend all in on the secret and which they had kept from me wonderfully!!!! I loved being able to share it w/ some of my dearest friends...and my sister got it all on videotape! Course when you watch the video and look at the pictures..we see these random families/people watching the event and pointing at us, some were actually taking pictures of us!...and in the background...you can see the Disney princess dancing on the Castle stage w/ their princes' while the song "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" sang throughout the park!!!

Sooooo began our life adventure together...praise God for His handiwork!!! :-)

Yep..that's the sound of my new puppy...Brea! Ross and I bought a schnauzer-yorkie mix Friday night from the Humane Society...and she is a D-O-L-L!!! I am already SO in love w/ her!!!! She is 8months old...SUPPPPPPER sweet, soft, cuddly, waggin-her-tail-happy, and VERY well behaved (except for the two little ...surprises she left for us in our house the past two days...)!! Her official name is: Brea Daisy Harkrider!! Yes..you knew I had to have SOME sort of Disney name in there! She came to us w/ the name Brea, which we liked and she knew..so no sense in confusing her!

We are going to start Puppy Education Classes at Petsmart starting the 25th of this month (which by the way....uh..September...ALREADY??)..which I'm excited for! Last time this year..I was signing up for swimming classes (yeah...that's right..I was a TERRIBLE swimmer...like ..I mean TERRIBLE!)...and now I'm signing up for Puppy classes!! The next two things I want to take are: piano lessons...and cake decorating classes! Anyway...Brea is a sweetie pie! I am not nor really have ever been a dog person...my family are kitty people. So I like that she's smaller and will stay small, so far I just LOVE going on walks with her in the morning...throwing her little "pinky" toy and her pouncing to go get it...OH and the other day we took our boat out on the lake, brought her with us and she LOVED it! She gets along w/ other dogs supremely! She's such a good fit for us!! ...course Ross would have probably preferred a dog you can like ride!..but he's taken w/ Brea...and knows she's our little baby for the time being.
