SACRAMENTO - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued the following statement regarding SB 48 by Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco):

This bill revises existing laws that prohibit discrimination in education and ensures that the important contributions of Americans from all backgrounds and walks of life are included in our history books. It represents an important step forward for our state, and I thank Senator Leno for his hard work on this historic legislation."

    We all know that LGBT, Pacific Islanders and Persons With Disabilities, make and have made significant contributions. I'm not sure what the 'law' would change. Perhaps a tweaking of a sentence or two in a textbook? I'm pretty sure Harvey Milk's murder is already in the history books because it was significant.
    Just seems like it's unnecessary.

Getting excited!

I have been making lists lately. I have one BIG list of all of the things I will need for Bible Camp... including those things Wee One and the hubs will need. I also have a list for the things I need to do in my office before I leave it until Jan 4th. I also have a list of all of the plans I have for Wee One's second birthday. The theme? Red, White and Two! I am getting soo excited about the party and especially all of the special little touches I am planning.

It is good to make lists!

    The party theme is Red, White and TWO! I am soo excited with how things are coming along. I have made the invitations, the flag pennant banner, the cupcake picks, and the gift bag tags. I hope it looks as wonderful in reality as it does in my head at the moment. :-)
