It has been a very long time since I have been on here. So howdy. Hope all is well. I spent the afternoon in downtown Madison with friends listening to live music. It was a lot of fun. This weekend started Madison's bicentenniel celebration, this afternoon we heard the Cincinnati Symphony on the lawn of the Lanier Mansion. They were very good and i had a great time with the britts, drydens, Sasha & Sophie, and brief visits with Diane, The Kings & Joanie. We also were able to listen to Joanie's Sweet Adeline's group. They did a good job. Had some quality time on my bike this afternoon and evening. I have gotten onto facebook but I don't get on there much more often than I get on here. I know, my grammar is appalling. Well I better run, need to get something to chow down on.

I was tempted to go through Mom's this week and purge for her. Didn't think she would react too kindly to that.

I have never been on a motorcycle - one of my cousins used to ride, but got caught in a tornado. His now-wife made him get rid of it.

Did you lose weight? You seem to have shrunk in half....

my health

Yes, it was a sinus infection. One Z-pack later and I am feeling better but still with a head full of stuff. Now I'm into the sneezing runny nose stage. I guess it is better than the sinus headache and sore throat stage.
This past weekend I helped the Masons finish hanging the drywall for their renovation. That part was no big deal, done it before. But we also started mudding. We got the first layer done. I have done small areas,,,,,,fixed holes, mudded around outlets to make sure the switch plates cover but I've never done a whole room. Everything was going along pretty smoothly, no pun intended until we got to the exterior corners. I can't say I was pleased with that. I am pretty confident that we have toooooo much mud on the corners of the closet. But we talked to a couple other people and Jennifer checked out a couple books so I'm sure we'll figure it out.

I am going to be working on a coworker's house and she'll be paying me. I will be stripping wall paper, painting, removing kitchen cabinets and I don't know what else. I enjoy that kind of thing, I just hope I still enjoy it once all these projects get done.

Daddy would be proud :) Glad you enjoy that kind of stuff and that you are feeling better. I get to see you tomorrow!!!!

Just wasn't meant to be for the ninth it sounds like. Do you think it would even be profitable for closer to Christmas, or would all the book buyers get their fill a this first bookfair? Did you get that Dove yet? It is working for you?

February sounds good. I mainly lost a LOT of decorations and compromised the beauty of some ornaments. I did lose two ornaments that were mine from childhood that were sad to have to pitch. Hannah's puppy stocking from last year shows some wear after having been washed in bleach water. Caleb's race car lost some paint and I had to pitch the green circle name/picture frame one. :( Lug's ornament that I had been thinking about the past month, looks a little bad, but I couldn't not put it on. I also lost all of my red bows (dollar store) that really accented my tree. So I went out that night and got some. I also lost all of the generic balls (colored and clear) that we had. Luckily our tree this year was smaller. I really had to go get the bows though because it was looking rather plain. When I opened it and smelled the mildew my heart sank. I thought I was going to have to re-do the stockings but they look okay. Oh yeah! And I think one of the saddest is the silver bell Momma got for us when we got married, engraved with our date. It looks really bad but i am going to see if mom can salvage it.

Just wanted to let you know that Krista has been monitoring Matt's glucose and it doesn't seem too abnormal. She is beginning to think it was just the nitro and morphine affecting him and that maybe they were being over reactive. Just wanted to let you know.

well, I've decided that I have a pretty boring life, because every time I try to think of something to write on pleo I go blank. Which is probably why I didn't get on here before now.

I was able to spend the weekend with my family, it went by too quickly of course. We got to see Andrew & Dylan in a musical. Andrew was Charlie Brown in "Life according to Snoopy" at Greencastle High School. This was one of those 'where has the time gone' moments. I can't believe he's a senior and about to head off to college. Andrew had a solo and several solo lines in other songs. He did great. Dylan was one of the "boys" and also did a great job. His only challenge was remembering NOT to mouth Andrew's lines in one of the songs. If I had remembered to take my camera into the school I would put on a pic of the boys in costume but alas,,,,,,,

The only downside of the weekend was that it ended by me getting a sore throat and horrible sinus headache. I went to the doc and got a Z-pack today but I'm still not up to par so I think I'll start heading to bed.

Hate that you got sick. What was the diagnosis? Sinus infection? You do not have a boring life and I am so glad you are on here. It is so nice to quickly be able to drop you a line while I am on here and it will be easier for you to see when we've posted something new.

Wanted to let you know that Hannah has been carrying "Baby Puppy" everywhere she has gone since you gave it to her. For the first day or so it it was carried along with Big Dog and blanket. I have been able to get Big Dog to stay behind on our trips here and there. He is becoming well loved very quickly. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

My new pic

Ok, I figured out how to put a picture on here. I'm pretty excited by that. In case you can't tell this is my motorcycle I got this summer. I bought a Honda Shadow VT750 and I love it. I got it the end of August after Debbie Crawford (a friend from church) taught me to ride. I had 4 lessons on her bike and then bought and rode mine home. YIPPEE!!!!!!Of course now it is a bit chilly for riding but I'll do my best to get a few rides in this winter if we have warm days. I have ridden to work a few times, which is an hour one way for anyone who doesn't know I work in Columbus, IN. WEll, there you go, my first REAL pleo entry. [x]
  • smiley_beth
You still owe me a ride on that baby of yours. I guess I will probably have to wait until spring now. But by then you will be comfortable enough to ride it to my place.

Hello Everyone. My sister (Beth) has been telling me for months I needed to get onto Pleo. I have not taken the time until now. Actually I had Emily Mason set it up for me. I didn't want to take the time to figure it out. SO, I don't promise how often I will be on but we'll see how it goes.

Ok, I'm pretty dense about all this, so since you added me to your list it looks like that automatically adds you to mine? Or do I need to do anything else to add you to my friend's list?
