It really is a wonderful life.
I just want to go around singing, "The sun is shining, the tank is clean!" even though I don't live in a fish tank. But the sun is shining. And that makes all the difference. (Well, most of it.)
College is pretty neat. I love it! School is going okay. Plugging along, mostly, and keeping busy. Made it through the first monster week (with four tests/papers due) and since have had one or maybe two major grades every week, so very manageable.
Still have major bones to pick with the new pleo. =[
Had a super-fun weekend with the city-wide scavenger hunt on Friday night and going to the state fair on Saturday. Now I need to work on my music appreciation paper, but the pointlessness of it is slightly demotivating.
Well! I'm all moved in! Everything went well and seems very comfortable! I start tomorrow morning at 8:00 with Genetics and a bright yellow three subject notebook - so I'm happy. Singing and young folk's get-together tonight!
Perhaps if I refrain from assigning a title, that obnoxious larger font will not appear?
I got Genetics! Just happened to be looking - almost missed it - but saw two spots open! I had to drop Physics and Ethics to do it, but I can take those anytime . . . and hopefully I can add one of those back later, as I now only have 14 hours, instead of my previous 17. Genetics will be a prerequisite for other courses in my major, so I'd like to take it on schedule. Maybe I won't have to take summer classes after all - although I still have Organic Chem to tackle at an undetermined future date . . . ! Fun!
Anyway, happy beyond all expectations! What a stroke of luck! Now, if only my AP scores would come in . . . =]
It's all big! and obtrusive! where's the lovely minimalist-y-ness? and, because everything else is so big, my links to friends aren't even visible without scrolling down for three miles . . . sad sad sad sad . . . .
Camp was really fun. This was my last year as a camper. =[ It seemed like we crammed more singing and bible study in than ever before - when we could work it around the very noisy girls' wrestling matches (don't ask). It was nice to walk into the bunkhouse and know almost everyone . . . I guess that's the perk of being a senior camper, but I don't feel like one. Maybe because all of my friends are in the lower grades . . . oh, why? oh, well. Was disappointed with the girls' prank this year . . . basically let's just go roll/shaving cream the room. I have to admit, the boys stealing our beds and not messing with much else was funny and good.
Work is really busy this weekend . . . upwards of 100 animals. But I work this week and then I'm off to camp - the all-girls' camp - again, and then I won't have much time before college. Speaking of which, I need to really get on getting ready for leaving. But I don't like thinking about organizing everything and transporting and setting it up. I wanted to do some sewing this summer, but haven't even broached that subject with mom, yet. We'll see how it all goes . . . still, it's a major "yikes!" thought.
Well, life is good, anyway. Spent most of today working, resting up from camp, and puttering around getting a little done. =] I have to get up really early tomorrow . . .
