absolutely exhasted

i went to the picnic today for the band. it was so hot that almost everyone stayed in the shade the whole time. despite the heat, i got a chance to talk with some fellow trombone players about school starting tomorrow. i helped one freshman feel a bit more at ease with her class schedule. her enthusiasm for school was very encouraging. i had forgotten the feeling of newness and excitement that comes from starting the first college semester. it reminded me of how i used to feel and my inspiration verse - colossians 3:23. so, now i am back home trying to prepare myself for my first day of classes.

hola. i have been a xangan for quite some time, so i am familiar with weblogging. still, something happened with xanga over the past week: i am no longer excited to post there. ??? i don't have any explaination as to why this has happened. and, despite the uncomfortableness of xanga, i have wanted to blog. so, i was sent here to read her posts. while reading, i decided that i had found a new home. so here i am. but it is very late/early and i have 12 hours of college band camp tomorrow, so i shall wrap this up and get to bed. look forward to regular posts. and tell your friends.

update: perhaps i will not get any sleep. i am suddenly feeling quite sick. i am so sick of being sick. blech.

Ooh! I'm glad you're on here! I love you! I guess you noticed I didn't make it to Amy's last night... by the time we finally left the bldg I had become an antisocialite. Hm. Need to work that. So, we went home, put the kids to bed and watched Gattaca. We have it for a week if you want to borrow, or come over and watch it. TVG cut out a few things (don't know if they really needed TVG-ing or not, TVG can be goofy sometimes) but there were a coupel scenes you'll want to fastforward.
