oh well... we got invited back for next year - which is a good thing for so many reasons: we will have more time to fill out various needed forms, we will know in plenty of time who can go and who can't so we don't disappoint beloved buddies at the last minute, and we won't be dealing with stranded loved ones all over the nation while we try to pack up for a totally different country. until then, i'll be looking forward to practicing my spanish down in monterrey!

so my dentist told me i have low blood pressure, which i already knew. what i didn't know is that low bp makes one very tired. yuck. i do not need another battle to face on that front. i also found out that low bp makes for frequent dizziness. aha!!!!! that solves that question! and thanks to webmd, i know what i can do to help myself: more salt and more sports drinks when i exercise. (also, drinking 2 cups of coffee in the morning would help, but i hate coffee) so, now i'm off to buy some salt and gatorade! lets see if i wake up in time for morning service on sunday and morning classes this week!!!

i have now seen her twice at TCU.. she is a freshman this year and doing quite well.. her math class is easy and i am sure she will ace it.. she looks happy and great - just like i have ever seen her before.. she says the rest of the campus looks like they just stepped out of a fashion magazine.. i got to talk with her in the library.. it was so nice to see her again.. ...is it lacy brown??? that seems right but i may be wrong...

i have decided that losing weight and going on accutane have made me very pretty indeed.. today in band a girlfriend of mine commented that all the guys were flirting with me.. i hadn't realized it till just then.. it was nice to find out that i am pretty.

i thought i had pink eye as of yesterday afternoon. my eyes began hurting as soon as i showed up at band practice at 8am and began sweating. (in retrospect, perhaps it was only the sweat irritating my eyes after all.) we practiced till 9. then we had to put on the double-knit wool uniforms for the full-band picture. i had to literally peel it off of myself. then we got 40 minutes to change, eat, and be back on the asphalt practice lot to line up for the annual scrimmage. i was sweating profusely for the whole thing. everybody's shirts were dripping wet. the heat was just unreal. after the scrimmage there was a free cookout that we kinda had to attend since we were initiating the freshmen. we finally left and i went home. i laid down on my hardwood floors for half an hour just to cool off and get back to breathing normally. then i washed myself off. i took my contacts out and put on my glasses since my eyes were hurting so much. i didn't want to do anything. i was still so hot and my eyes were so bothersome. my eyes were all i could think about. nothing could distract me. i tried flushing them with water for a bit of relief. it helped while i was flushing them, but stopped helping when i stopped flushing. since i pay for my own water now, that stopped soon. i fell asleep on my living room futon. i decided to not go to church this morning for fear of infecting every child with pink-eye - especially sophie and katie. by 11am though, it cleared right up. no pain, no itch, no pink, nothing. i kept the contacts out and the glasses on - just in case. but i washed up and went to church. ahhhhh. i love church. i love Jesus. thank you Lord for using your unlimited, awesome power for such a little thing as healing my eyes in time for church.

    Headband became a toy? It better not have! I knew it came off... I put it away before I had to go to the back with katie. Guess S found it again! When you're already that hot and sweaty you can come over and mow our lawn. A little more sweat would hardly be noticeable, right?
