catsup

well i haven't posted what i have been up to in a long time so i am going to pick up where i left off about 2 entries ago. the last thing i posted about was going to new york at the beginning of summer last year. so here is briefly what i have done since then.

-canoed the upper portion of the green river through mammoth cave national park.

-went to a nashville sounds baseball game

-went to drew fulkerson's wedding

-went to the rc cola and moon pie festival in bell buckle Tennessee where i won 2nd place in the watermelon seed spitting competition. i also hit a guy in the face with a moon pie during the moon pie throwing competition.

IMG_0074
-went to the smokie mountains and saw synchronous lightning bugs. if get the chance to witness this i would recommend doing it. also we had 6 people in my 2 door civic from bowling green to bell buckle to the smokies and back with no air conditioning in the middle of june.

-went to joel and katie's wedding

-went to nathan and brittany's wedding

-went to southern california. during this trip i went to lisa and kacy's wedding. went to disneyland for the first time since i was 2, and celebrated stephanie's birthday.

-went on a spur of the moment trip to chicago with justin padgett. horn also joined us when we got there. by the way we had the windows down on the way there most of the time but just about the entire state of indiana smells like butt and by butt i mean cow pies.

-went to the sand dunes in indiana and to notre dame on the way back.

-stephanie came to visit.

-canoed the lower part of the green river.

-went to red river gorge with matthew, kenny and doug and did some climbing, hiking, and camping.

-played some downtown disc.

-went to northern california for j and katie's wedding. on this trip i went surfing and to san fransisco and ate burrito.

-9 party

-went to doug's wedding and bachelor party.

-played in a cornhole tournament but had an unfortunate defeat. especially cause i was on fire.

-went to the international festival for the first time.

-went to cincinatti and played an awesome disc golf course.

-cut my hair to look like kidd and play from house party.

-went to king's island.

-carved a pumpkin into a guy bending over and farting.

pumpkins 044
-played alot of ultimate.

-threw those pumpkins off the stadium at western.

-became an uncle.

-went on a hardcore roadtrip to texas, new mexico, arizona, utah, colorado and back. we went to 10 national parks and 5 national monuments and 1 navajo monument (4 corners). btw 4 corners is on a navajo indian reservation and they close they gates at 5. so unless you want to be sneaky and risk being held for as long as they want or scalped, go early.

DSC03076
-shot some guns

-went to southern calfornia for 10 days.

-saw the foo fighters.

-did some other stuff that i dont remember right now. i only remember this stuff because i have pictures.

can in the fan

this is a great game that was invented mostly by timothy kercheville.

needed:

-ceiling fan

-a fairly large room that allows seating all the way around the ceiling fan.

-a bunch of empty aluminum cans (the tend to get beat up and sharp so you have to replace them)

-a nerf ball or some ball that is slightly soft. or just something you can peg someone with.

-a bunch of people

How to play:

-everyone sits in a circle around the ceiling fan. for best results the fan should be blowing the air towards the ceiling.

-the person with the can hurls the can into the fan.

-if the can is caught in the air or off the wall/window/curtains etc. then the person who threw the can gets pegged with the nerf ball. (somewhat in the fashion of "let it hit you" except you can hit them as hard as you want). if the can hits furniture or anything not connected to the wall then the can thrower is safe.

-if the can thrower misses the can completely then whoever recovers the can gets to peg the can thrower even if they do not catch it in the air.

-in the event that the can is not caught by anyone and it hits the fan then whoever is closest to where the can stops has to throw it in the fan.

-if you throw the can in the fan and you catch it yourself then you get to peg whoever you choose.

-you must be seated while throwing the can into the fan.

-GAY CLAUSE: if you are pegging someone with the nerf ball and miss, barely hit them, or throw it really soft or in a gay manner, then the person being pegged now gets to peg the gay thrower. In the event of a "gay" everyone yells "gay!" if it unanimous. if some feel that the throw was not gay enough a simple vote of thumbs up or thumbs down seals the throwers fate.

-ONE AND ONE: you have to let the person pegging you to hit you. you are only allowed to cover your face with one hand and the other one in a place of your choosing. one and one. no using your legs to block it. trying to dodge the peg or moving is grounds for a repeg.

i think thats pretty much all the rules. i hope everyone starts playing this in their homes. if you can't you can come over to mine and play.

its a good game. i had more fun playing this than i do at spoons, nerts, apples to apples, or catchphrase. mostly because all those games deserved to get pegged.

incendiary

-i haven't posted in a long time.

-the pants were a hit at the basketball game. they did not get on ESPN2 as i had hoped but i heard reports that my "look at the pants !" chant could be heard on the broadcast. the first guy that got a taste of the pants during his free throw definitely gave me a extremely confused look when i yelled "hey you! look at these pants!!"

here are some other happenings in last few months that i have done.

-I went to cumberland falls at the beginning of jacked up january. it was frigid. the campsites were all closed. a park ranger did say "there is no camping on the beach near the river but you can 'fish all night.'" so we fished all night but forgot to bust out the fishing poles and we just made a fire and slept in tents. it snowed when we woke up and covered everything in about 15 minutes.

-the day i got back from cumberland falls, i left for southern california. it was a successful trip. big bear, san diego, PCH, monterey, and orange county were all dominated. i recommend driving down the pacific coast highway to anyone.

-we made a fort out of our living room. our entire living room.

-i went camping in shanty hollow with some guys. i was swinging on a rope that we hung out over this rock over hang. the rope broke and i landed on my back.

-i went camping in red river gorge. it rained all night and it was cold. we couldn't figure out how to correctly assemble the tent that we borrowed but we got it to stay up. we hiked and saw the indian staircase.

-went to thunder over louisville. it was a success. i cooked some hamburgers on a little camping grill and smoked our asian friends out that were sitting in front of us. the navy seal parachuters were my favorite. ROCKSTAR!!

-stephanie visited on her spring break. she rode a horse pretty fast and was happy.

-i made some jacked yearbook pictures.

-i babysat twice. i had to change a poopie nasty diaper for the first time in my life. i don't recommend it and i never want to do it again. that junk was gross.

-when i get tired of the cds in my car. i turn to D93 and listen to alice cooper nights when i am delivering pizza. he is funny and plays quality music. i recommend checking it out if he is syndicated in your area.

since school has been out i have:

-played real golf for the first time.

-gone to NYC. 6 people in a dodge stratus. saw conan. jumped around like a donkey on the todays show. saw the sights. hung out with friends. good time. there were many digestion problems on this trip.

-i went canoing on the green river in mammoth cave park. i hope to go again and finish the river this summer.

-i got free bbq from D93 today.

-i am looking for another job for the summer time.

-i am about to upload a bunch of pictures to facebook.
