I know it's not like you all have been waiting on pins and needles for me to finally stop eavesdropping in on your lives but not sharing any of mine but it HAS been a while!!! Where to begin.... Brett and I just had our 8th anniversary this past week. It was a bit uneventful but always so sweet to celebrate love. Piper took her first steps a couple of weeks ago. She is staying true to her form and not showing off very much, though. Who would have thought, my kid - not showing off?! She has 6 beautiful teeth that she does show off all the time. She loves to smile. Piper loves to go to her "Aunt Lorie's" while we are at work. There is always something to do out there. I take her when I leave for work in the morning and Brett picks her up around 1:00. Then they have some time together and I get home around 5:30. He goes to work at 6:15 then it's just us girls. He has Wednesdays and Thursdays off so they hang out and I am off on Fridays. It is the best set up I could have imagined. Work is going well. I will have my 3rd anniversary with them on the 13th. I hope to celebrate many more there. It's one of the greatest places to work. Except for maybe Disney World or something! Piper is starting to sign with us. I only know some of the basics but it's so wonderful to see her use them to communicate. Brett just turned 30! He has fun with it. I think it's stranger for me to think I'm married to a 30 year old man!! EEEEK. Well, I'd really like to write more but I'm tired and I hope to watch the end of the NASCAR race. It's a little overwhelming to think of all the things I could write about. So why am I still here writing about possibly writing about it? Goodnight! Check out some of my new pics. They are small and grainy but I'll try to work on that later!

Well,
she made me realize it had been a while since I'd written an update. It's hard to know where to begin. Life with Piper is amazing. It gets better everyday. She just had her 5 monthiversary. She's sitting up like a little gorilla. Her huge grin can light up a room. Her toes must be very tasty b/c they are always in her mouth. She has such a sweet way about her. She really doesn't fuss unless she's tired or hungry. I know everybody says that but I'm being honest. Brett is in love. He does it all. Bottles, baths, poops, spits, late night pacifier replacements, bouncing in the back of the church building. If I could just get him to take out the trash. Just kidding. Work is going well and the mornings are getting easier. I've realized that if I don't get in a routine of being organized with our time that it will really nip me in the end. Right now it's relatively easy. She sleeps while I get ready. She wakes up, I feed her, burp her, change her diaper, get her dressed, put her into her carseat and we're out the door. I forsee a problem with our ready-for-the-day-in-20-minutes schedule when she is eating real food and has hair to brush and fix. I can't even think about shoes with laces! We are getting excited about our upcoming trip to see
Angel and Julie-Ann. They visited in February. We got the girls pictures taken. They are adorable. It will be Piper's first trip on a plane and her first time to meet Uncle Calvin. We'll be there over Easter weekend. It'll be fun to dress them up together. I'll try to post some pics. Well, I guess that's enough for now. I hope you all have a great weekend.

It has been a while since I've sat down to write a post with any significant ramblings, so here goes. Life is good. Life is very good. I must say, however, that I'm very glad to see 2006 go. It started out nicely with a new family car and plans to get pregnant. February brought with it a car accident and many problems to follow. We did find out about Piper a week later but the excitement was subdued b/c we were so unsure of many things. A transfer for Brett and a problem free pregnancy made the summer easier to bear. The fall brought visits from family, baby showers, and our 7th anniversary. Then, the blessed arrival of Piper Pearl. She came at the perfect time. I had 6 great weeks off. And once the lady that keeps her got back from a week in Mexico and a week of the stomach flu, our routine got off to a great, but late, start. I got extra time off with her for Thanksgiving, a snow storm, Christmas and now New Years. Not too bad for only being back a few weeks. We worked very hard this year. 2007 will bring with it a new position for Brett that allows him to be at home with us in the evenings! The
Sharps will be here in a few weeks! We are so anxious to meet Julie-Ann. Piper will have a best friend and a cousin! Angel and I have decided we don't care if they like each other we'll force them to LOVE each other! I'm content now but ready to start off a new year with high hopes. Hopes that I'll learn to balance housework and family time. Hopes that I'll be able to drop a day at work to be with Piper more. Hopes that Piper will be healthy and strong. Hopes that she'll sleep through the night consistently. Hopes that Brett will be successful in his new job and will get up with Piper if the afore mentioned takes a while. I could list so many more things here but I'll save them for another post. I love being a wife and a mom and I can't wait to get better at it next year. Welcome 2007!
Merry Kristenamas to you all and to all a Great Day!

Well, I sort of put some new pictures in my galleries. Angel actually did it but I did learn how to e-mail them to her! She's super cute!
I can't believe Piper is already old enough to start walking. I can't wait for the pictures...
