I love it! I hate it! It makes me tired and cross-eyed. It's therapuetic. It's instantly gratifying. It's bad for my eating habits b/c I want a pencil in one hand and a sweet in the other. I should buy stock in erasers. The books say it can increase brain power. What is brain power exactly? For now it's fun but could easily become a "habit". A "do-puzzles-instead-of-the-dishes" habit. I'm hooked!

It's been a while and I thought today would be the perfect day to sit down and blog. I had to get up early on my day off to take the best looking car on the road to get the windows tinted. Now Brett and I can park and make out and nobody can see in! Just kidding! I've been in one of those moods where I take joy in pestering Brett. It's driving him crazy but not making him mad. That means he must like it. Even if I'm annoying him I'm still giving him attention, right?!
So many of you have started 2006 off with such a bang! Working out, marathon training, Storycrafting..... way to go friends! I know that I posted about consuming less and it was a noble thought and all, but I've realized my goals are much different. I want a baby! I know it's a shocker but yep, that's really been my resolution all along. Tricked you! I haven't informed Brett about my absolute top goal before I turn 26 (Dec. 19, 2006-in case you've forgotten) but I'm sure he'll be fine with it. I don't guess I should tell him today because of all the "attention" I'm giving him. He's bound to blow his lid if I drop a bomb like "Do you want another person crying, needing attention, fussing with you, wanting sweets, asking to be entertained, etc, etc....." I'll keep you posted. Continued good luck with your resolutions everyone!

Today was pretty good. A busy work day makes for a quickly passing work day. Score! Then, after cooking dinner, taking it easy could begin. My favorite part of the day. :) As usual, if I so much as lean over on the sofa I'm out like a light. So, after an hour or so of snoozing on the couch I woke up to Brett calling to say he'd be home in 30 minutes. So, you wives know what has to happen next. The frantic race to try and get the house in order, kitchen tidy, and make oneself not look as though they've been on the couch all evening. Mark one up for wives everywhere this time. It was a success. The clothes are even out of the floor. Okay, so now I have to go to bed, even though I'm not all that tired but if I don't he'll know I've slept all evening and I can't let him in on our little secret.

Well, we did it! After a very long day in which I was a bit puny and hungry which naturally leads to CRANKY we got a new car. Yes, new new! I am now the proud driver of a 2006 Majestic Blue (thus the blue post) Nissan Altima! Affectionately known as "Sugar"! I have never had a nice car and this is one is soooo nice. No bells and whistles just very clean looking. I'm now an obsessed car owner who parks really far away so that the doors won't get dinged and I'm very interested in the invention of a protective bubble. We bought our 2000 S10 pickup 6 yrs. ago brand new and after a few run ins with other cars it's not so nice anymore but it will be ours free and clear next month! So, when we've had this car for 6 years and it's covered in baby puke and has a few more miles than the 70 that are on it now, remind me how much I liked it.

Well, we're going to take the plunge! A new car. Wish us luck! We have appointments scheduled with 3 different salesmen from 3 different dealerships tomorrow. I hope we can haggle a good price out of someone. I always feel taken advantage of when I leave. Maybe this time we've done enough homework on things and can be better prepared going into it. Fingers crossed everyone!
Kind of both. Andrew's birthday is Valentines Day, so we celebrate Feb 14th as his birthday and do Valentines on a different day.
