A Good Day

I had a great day and am looking forward to a great week. Our church is hosting a gospel meeting with Brother Bubba Garner of Palestine, Texas. He is a thoughtful man that is a excellent Bible student. If anybody reads this post let me recommend him to you. If you are in the Twin Cities (MSP-St Paul) area.

Here are our meeting times this week:
Monday 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday night 7:30 p.m.
Thursday 7:30 p.m.
Friday 7:30 p.m.

The overall theme of the entire week is on Edification and Encouragement.

Hope all can come!

Hiya Jason. Good to see ya when we visited NW's Gospel Meeting. Wish we could've made it more than 1 night. I like what you did to your hair. You have always been such a sweet boy and now a sweet man. Boy how time flies. God bless ya!

Brian's folks and his sister are coming over. Sadly, it's just too far away to spend Thanksgiving with my folks when they are in Houston. BUT...it looks like they will be living in Atlanta next year, which is much more doable.

Jason, I will indeed need a place to stay. I will be looking at options this weekend probably. One of the tricky things is that I need to be in to the U by 8ish at the latest on Thur/Fri/Sat.

Something new and exciting...

We're starting something new at church. We've started a young preacher's program. We've asked a young man from Fayetteville, Arkansas named Taylor Ladd to come work with us this summer. He really made an impression on me. As I was walking into the auditorium on his first day with us, he knew my name! Please pray for us while we strive to do God's will here in the upper midwest.

Taylor's great. I hope things go well for the congregation there. Glad to hear you from you, Jason.

Something exciting!!!

I survived my first earthquake! I was in Indiana visiting my grandfather last week in Indiana when I was awoken by a 5.2 earthquake in southern Illinois. It felt like a nice massage going down my body from the top of my head to my heels. No damage, just a little excitement.
  • trashley
    You are too funny!
    by trashley at 04/21/08 7:07AM
  • trolleem
I heard about that! Less expensive than a massage too!

  • ajhkygirl
Wow that does sound exciting! I have never been in a earthquake!

We slept through the whole thing. Everyone was talking about it the next day and I had no idea what had happened. It stinks to be such a hard sleeper sometimes.
