So I was taking Patrick to work yesterday morning...

We were stopped at a light right before getting on the freeway when a guy taps on our window. "You have a flat tire!" Oh fun! I thought I had heard a funny noise a second ago... Patrick calls into work to let them know he might be late. He can't be too late thoough because the ship is going out to sea for a few days and he's gotta be on it before it pulls out. So we proceed to the nearest parking lot and get out to check the damage. Yup.. very flat tire.

OK so let's get the spare on.. Hmm our new car doesn't seem to have a car jack in it.. Now what?!

We walk over to a gas station and see if they sell any. No luck there. We go to the only other place open at 5:30, safeway, and they don't have any either. So patrick calls around his work friends until he finds one who isn't on base yet to give him a ride to work. So we just leave the car in the parking lot and i get dropped off at the house and Patrick leaves for sea.

But something still has to be done about the car...

So a little later in the day, after i've caught up on sleep and all the stores have opened I take a little 2 mile walk to the car. I just need to drive it very carefully to the les schaub that's just a block away, and hope I don't damage the rim or tire in that short drive...

I got it there just fine and les schaub fixed it for free, because they are nice like that.


So that was my adventure. Now everyone go check and make sure you have a car jack in your trunk!!

I'm just sitting here at the computer at almost midnight drinking some bavarian wildberry tea out of my "i love my sailor" mug and playing kingdom of loathing. trying to chill out so i can fall asleep so that it will be tomorrow already cause that's when patrick will be home.

Today was my dad's birthday. I bought him two ties.

well, i've been tagged.. so here we go

1. i don't like wearing shoes... when i do have to wear shoes it's flip flops all summer and ballet flats or converse for winter.
my feet are always funny colors though and people always comment..

2. i'm a plate turner. when a plate has several different things on it in their seperate little piles i eat one thing and then turn the plate so the next one is in front of me.

3. i read license plates when i drive. i take the three letters in a license plate and try to make words out of them using those letters in the order they are in. so if i saw 173-BLY i'd say biology! and the longer the word the better.

4. i don't know why.. but to me numbers have genders. 2,4,5,7,8,10,11,12 are boys and 3,6,9,13 are girls

5. i have a very active imagination and am always lost in thought or spacing out. and to help myself fall asleep at night i make up stories or imagine what it would be like if it were me in whatever book i am currently reading

6. i never really knew what love was or how it felt until i fell in love with patrick. being with him has opened up a whole new side of me and made me a better person for it.
