Wow! It's been awhile!

Well a lot has happened since my last post! I'll get to my P90X challenge results in a minute.

Our life as we know it. Eat, sleep, breathe. During that Worship and Bible Class. Soccer practice for Caleb and Lily. Derek is Caleb's coach so we are definitely staying busy there. This is Lily's second season, she played last spring as well. Caleb says this his 8th season. He's probably right, I can't remember :) Levi thinks he playing half the time. He's a cutie! He can write his name and most all of his letters if you ask him. He's learning to read and it thrills my soul!!! I love to hear him read "Casey Cat Has A Hat" he only misses 3 words!

Derek has been teaching the Adult class on Sunday evenings. We are studying Acts. It's been a good study! We have had a lot of growth at our congregation from other locals. Most are not new converts but we are focusing on Evangelism so hopefully we will be successful in spreading the gospel far and wide in our area. We've had a lot of trials and tribulations among our local congregation and we have spent much time in prayer. We have two sets of grandparents to the same baby, Andrew Hagewood. He was born on Feb. 6th with an enlarged heart. His family used to worship with us. So far he is doing incredibly well and breaking records like crazy at Vanderbilt hospital, however he still needs a heart transplant. Please pray for this family. I know they greatly appreciate it. Also on our hearts is Brother R. J. Stevens who underwent bypass surgery a few weeks ago and is still in ICU. We pray the Lord's Will will be done in both of these situations.

I've visited in Alabama and Peoria, IL in the recent weeks. The trip to Alabama was planned and went very well! I love seeing my nephews and niece. Brothers, cousins etc. But most especially I love the time I have with my parents. They are amazing people and I am so thankful to have them.

The trip to Peoria was incredibly spur of the moment as some of you know but I am so thankful I was able to go and that Caleb was able to go with me. A member of the congregation passed away who was very dear to our hearts. We continue to pray for the comfort of his widow, children and grandchildren.

Now my 90 day P90X Challenge Results: I lost a total of 5 lbs, 10.5 inches and 10% body fat. 3.25 inches of that was in my waist. I have much more defined muscles now and feel healthier and stronger in so many ways. I have continued on my fitness journey with another great Beachbody program that was just released in December. It is called Les Mills PUMP. You may have hear of BODYPUMP at a local gym. This is an at home program based on this very successful and highly effective gym class. It uses the REP EFFECT to burn tons of calories and build lean strong muscles. I can see a difference already since I started it 5 weeks ago. I am loving it and I am very excited for Jonna to join me in the great program and drinking Shakeology daily. I LOVE my chocolate Shakeology and got so excited when it arrived today!!

Not only have I seen a change in myself but also in our kids. They are trying to make healthier choices and exercise more. They even REQUESTED that I get the TONY & THE KIDS DVD for their use. They've done it twice already this week and LOVE it! I am so thankful to make this impact on their lives at such a young age so that hopefully they will grow to respect and take care of their bodies.

For those of you who are interested my next Challenge Group will be starting on April 2nd. You can pick the 60/90 program of your choice and be involved with a group of just 5 people to encourage, support and even whine too! :) Being part of a Challenge Group really helped me to give it my all. I am so thankful I had it! There's more to say but I'll leave it for those who are interested. There are only 5 spots available so please message me or e-mail me if you are interested and would like to know more.

Good luck with allergy season, it's hit our family hard. (all my boys)

Love to all!

Day 60!

So I'm on day 61 now of my challenge. I tried to post an update yesterday but Pleo just wouldn't let me. :( So here I am again today and it appears it's going to behave.
I am thrilled with the success I have had thus far. I've lost 4.5 lbs., 9.35 inches (2.5 in my waist alone!) and 8% body fat! Personally I think that's great progress. I have more muscle tone now than I have ever had and I feel fantastic! (well except for when I get a migraine or my kidney stones act up, but hey Shakeology and P90X can't fix all my problems) LOL

I am a coach as you all know so I'm dedicating myself to helping others acheive their goals. I am starting up new challenge groups at every available opportunity. If you want to transform your health and fitness and commit yourself to a 60 or 90 day program let me know. The Challenge Groups are all held on Facebook. Where you can check in daily with the other members of the group, encourage them, share your rough days and accomplishments and receive encouragement. There are 10 different programs that you can choose from if you join a challenge group.

If you are interested and would like to learn more about the challenge groups or Shakeology you can leave a note here if you like. To reach me faster you can e-mail me at my PLEO username at yahoo dot com

I hope 2012 is going great for you thus far!

Love to everyone!
Stacie

Progress!

Just wanted to update you on the progress I've made with P90X so far. I'm 39 days in and lovin' it! I look forward to my workout each day. It varies so much that it doesn't get monotonous. So far I've lost 2 pounds and 5.7 inches overall. I'm building a lot of muscle that will raise my metabolism to burn more fat. I love drinking Shakeology everyday, it fills me up, curbs my cravings and gives me so many nutrients!!! Very good for you.

As far as life goes all is plodding along steadily. I'm still selling Savvy Shoppers at the local Walgreens as well as filling a few orders made by request, (if I have the time). We're still homeschooling and all is going pretty well there. I wish I could hit on some great Language Arts cirriculum that my kids could really enjoy. I'm going to be trying some new books for Lily but they aren't totally comprehensive in this area I don't believe. Caleb would really like a change, hopefully I'll find some thing soon. They are very excited to start Anatomy soon and I'm looking forward to it as well. Levi just turned 4 and I'm trying to get him a little more interested in reading. Hopefully it will come with time.

Overall everything is good. We did Christmas in Alabama last weekend and now we'll stay put. My parents will be visiting on Christmas day and staying through Wed. Then my in-laws will be here over New Years weekend.

I love company! Please feel free to stop by and see us anytime. We would love to have you!

Well back to the grind, dirt calls!

Love always,
Stacie

Bound and determined!

Well I'm starting a new phase in my life. At least I think that is what you would call it. I've always enjoyed fitness and I have tried to stay in shape. However it is easy to fall off the wagon at times, and I definitely have at times in my life. To change this within myself I have decided to go through the P90X Challenge! I start on Monday the 14th. I am borrowing it from friends but I do hope to purchase my own copy in the future. I'm not terribly out of shape but I wouldn't say I'm anywhere near running a half marathon or anything else for that matter. Up until this week I did Kettlebells in the evenings before bed and I would typically work out twice a week with a good friend. We used Kettlebells, exercise balls and cardio. Even though I will be starting the P90X Challenge I still plan on working out with my friends twice a week. I also meet with the local Fit Club. It is totally free and meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I love this because I can go without the kids. Since these are the days I currently work out with my friends I will be getting double workouts on Tuesday and Thursday!

Shakeology is going to be a part of my challenge. I ordered a 30 day supply and it should arrive before I start my challenge. During all the research I did to decide what would be the best way to reach my goals I started investigating becoming a Team Beachbody coach. (I don't love the name but it is what it is) Beachbody is the company that has created P90X, Shakeology, Insanity and many, many other workouts and nutrition supplements. It seemed that becoming a coach would actually be the cheapest way for me to go about entering the challenge! Why you might ask? Well if you become a coach you get 25% discount on all the products! Now as you know I am very frugal and love saving money so after much time researching I signed up.

So enters the next business in my line up.

I am now a Team Beachbody Independent Coach. I am very excited to get started losing weight and getting fit as well as helping others reach their goals. Wish me luck!
If you've never heard of P90X or Shakeology and would like to know more you can read all about them here: http://beachbodycoach.com/tnmom0f3

@Sarah, I'll be sure to keep you updated on my progress.
No you don't get hands on traing but there is an online training program. Thankfully I'be always had good form and picked routines up quickly. I studied to be a Jazzercise instructor years ago.

@ Kim, I like pies :). Especially those that don't take up all my time ( ornament me fat :)

@Esme, you can do it too, just have to commit. And I'be never seen you fat! You are gorgeous!

I am all for getting into shape, but don't loose too much weight!! I think people look good with a little meat on their bones :)

I say that because a friend of mine (from dr. kindred's office) lost a BUNCH of weight when she turned 40...then she got breast cancer...it really hit her body hard...she was like skin and bones...I tend to think that God made our body's metabolism to purposely slow down as we get older...to store up some meat for rough days to come...
