This month marks the 40th anniversary of the moon landing. Here is a site that has been set up to re-create in real time the events of that time.
We Choose the Moon.org Its hard to believe that the computer you are using to look at this, has more processing power than the ones onboard the Apollo spacecraft at that time.

Just letting everyone know that I am back in the States. Its great to be back! Now I'm trying to get caught up on all the things I missed while I was gone. Thanks to everyone for the support while I was gone. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :)

Short update for everyone. I've got about 5 weeks to go before I'm stateside again. We're pretty busy now. A lot of equipment coming through to inspect, getting ready to come home, plus a move to a new location on base. Our reliefs should be here soon. Once we give them some training and hand off to them, we'll be on a freedom bird to the USA! See you soon!

We hope. I just got back from R&R a couple of weeks ago. That was fun. We spent a week in Qatar. We got to go on different tours. One across the sand dunes to a beach in SUV's, another out in the Arabian Gulf, a couple of malls, and a tour of downtown Doha, the capital. Relly neat.
Back in Kuwait now. Its still hot here. (130 is the hottest day so far) But now we have the added pleasure of humidity to go along with our triple digit heat! Good times in the desert. ;) Can't wait to come home.
