Taking a Poll

What sort of items would YOU be interested in purchasing?

Scarfs/Gloves/Slippers - Other Apparel

Baby/Child/Adult

Woman/Man

Loofah's/Dishcloths/Doily's - Other Miscellaneous

Wreaths/Centerpieces/Cozies - Other decorations

Purses/Jewelry - Other accessories

Crochet/Sewn/Monogrammed/Beaded/Painted/etc.

It seems that no one is very interested in my hats, so I thought a poll would be my next best bet :-P
I am needing to pick-up a part-time job, of sorts, and I'm TRYING to get something with transcriptions, but without any previous experience, it is a difficult and long search. Plus, I find "crafting" much more entertaining and rewarding than typing. I have no desire to work outside of the home, especially at this particular point, but if I can't pick-up some business through THIS, then it looks like that will be my only other option.

Anyways, thanks for your input, it is GREATLY appreciated!!

I love your baby things(crocheted and painted), and I also loved your hats, I'm just low in funds that the present...

Hang in there, trying to start a business, as it were, is hard, and sometimes takes a while. I believe in you...

Crochet for sale

I got a shop, of sorts, set up. Feel free to check it out and "make an order"

http://www.familybugs.net/Shop/Shop.html

crochet, crochet, and more crochet (oh, and cleaning, of course!)

I LOVE naptimes. That's about 3-4 hours in the day that I can do something for ME! And then, giving the kids a fairly early bed-time (7:30-9:00) gives me ANOTHER 1-3 hours to do stuff. SO, I've been using their wakeful periods to clean/play, and their sleepful periods have been for crochet-ing!!

I've got two Christmas presents made, finished, and already in a box! I got another three presents planned, I've just gotta get the materials for them.

I've also crochet-ed up several hat and flower patterns (for children AND adults), and am hoping to join up with another friend to sell them! According to my calculations, selling just one product per ball of yarn will give me more than a double profit. And I can easily work up two or three projects per ball of yarn. The idea of this is very exiting, I'm just not sure how much business I'll be getting. If there are any items for yourself, or your friends who are having babies that you would like...by all means, LET ME KNOW!! My products are very reasonably priced, and I can crochet absolutely ANYTHING that you can think of (stuffed toys, scarfs, ponchos, hats, head-bands, flowers, sweater-vests, slippers, gloves, mittens, hand-warmers, and probably anything else that you can think of), and not to toot my own horn, but I think I'm pretty good at it :-P I'll try to get some pictures up on my website soon, but with a gospel meeting coming up, it might not be until next weekend.

you inspire me because even though you have a life full of children and a husband, you still find time to post on pleonast, create a website (and keep it updated), and do crafts. I only have 35 hour job and I still can't find the time to work on my art.

And I want to put a hat in order. :)

Well, the site DID say that humans had one of the higher gestation periods of all animals. It also said that the more intelligent animals had a higher gestation, because it takes that long for the brain to develop.

    Aren't you glad you're not a Shark? :)

Many of these are not what I would think as being the most intelligent of animals. But I'm just thankful now that we don't have 2-year gestation like some of these do :P.

Wasn't saying that I necessarily agree, that's just what the site said...I'm pretty sure that Donkeys, Camels, and Worms are basically dumb animals...and I'm not too sure how much intelligence a shark has. I mean, how much "brain" does it take to swim around and gobble up any other fish in sight, really?

And how smart can an animal who *spits* really be?

Busy busy, but productive morning!

All before and within the first half of naps today...

All the dishes have been cleaned and put away, the counter-tops have been cleaned of debris and bleached down, outside of all appliances have been wiped down, the floor has been swept and mopped.

Toys have been picked up and put away (sort of), table cleared of clutter and wiped down, floors swept and mopped, furniture put back in its proper place (little children can move a few of the smaller furnitures), and all surfaces dusted (there aren't a lot).

I don't do any house-work on Sundays, not only are they rough enough as it is, but I like to devote Sundays to family and God.

By then end of all that work, however, I could hardly walk upright, thanks to a stressed-back, and some rather swollen feet.

I've already got my blog for Mia's birthday put together, just waiting until I get a chance to do her 12-month photo shoot, and then it'll be published on my website (it's rather long).

I've already got the patterns picked out to make matching outfits to do some actual professional shots for Christmas cards/gifts (since we wont be leaving TX this year, and very few of my family can leave TN/PA/NY), it's really the least that we can do under the circumstances.

Been working on a rather long-term birthday present for Christopher. It's very time-consuming, but will be super awesome when it's finished. I could probably sell it for a couple hundred dollars, but no way!!!! I MIGHT be able to put together and sell a pattern for it, though...nah, too much effort for right now. My inspiration is found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31676807@N08/3393263514/

Slowly adding more purple to the kids' room. Gotta finish up a bed-spread for Mia, and hang a few more wall-pieces. Curtains are much-needed...brainstorming how I can add some purple to the already-blue and orange.

Picked out a color-palate for Eliana's room. Eventually, she and Mia will be sharing a room, but not while she's a newborn (and personally, I don't like sharing a bedroom with a newborn myself either). It's gonna be a pale purple and I've been growing some sunflowers out back that will get dried and incorporated into the room. And then a splash of some minty green (so I wont have to worry about new curtains or crib sheets :-D). It should be perfect for a couple of little girls to grow with (just change around the accents!)

I LIKE being busy, and not being in school has forced me to create my own projects to do. :-D
