The Break of Spring
I went back home to Richmond, VA and brought my former roommate, Kaitlin Sanders, with me. I think she's handled my family pretty well! We've gone shopping a few times for wedding things and I've been applying at a lot of different places for a job this summer. The one job I'm really hoping to get is at a Plantation being a tour guide. Dad took us to downtown Richmond one afternoon and we saw the capital building, the Edgar Allen Poe museum (which, sadly, turned out to be kind of disappointing) and Monument Ave. where there's a different monument every block and it's lined with beautiful colonial and victorian houses! Other than that, we've just been sleeping in, cooking and sleeping some more. It's been a very nice, relaxing spring break to be sure :)
Tomorrow our flight leaves at 7am which means we will be getting up with the sun.
I suppose I should apologize for not posting for two months! The month of February was nothing short of insanity. First there was lectures, which was very good. I actually was able to attend several of the day lectures after I volunteered in Dicus during the mornings. Next began musical practice although I actually did not get involved with until the last week. I was again chosen to be curtain lady which meant I was backstage during every performance. The week before spring break was mid-term week and I felt buried beneath three tests and several projects. But it all ended fair.
I also had to be finished with my yearbook spreads before spring break. I can't wait to see it when it comes out!
This next side of spring break I can see being a little less busy, at least for me (and Luke!).
For inquiring minds, the wedding planning to going well and I have discovered my love of flowers and butterflies. There are still several things to do, of course, but I'm enjoying planning and thinking of ideas with Luke. And I still want the groomsmen to have swords. O_o
Thankfulness:
- Rain
- Warm weather
- Flowers
- Is it okay to be thankful for thankfulness?? :)
love,
Sarah Jane

Have fun with the wedding planning. Maybe it will be fun the whole way through, without getting stressful!
As for decorating, I give you FREE REIGN ... do anything you like. I did think I'd like to plant sunflowers by the new fence GF is building around the orchard...but they take too long to bloom in July. Maybe we could substitute a sunflower garland on top?
