Unexpected Project.

Well, I rather spent my morning differently from my intentions. Not that I had much particularly planned this morning.

It started when Didymus woke me up around 7:30, asking for help, and apologizing for having to do so. Apparently, he was in the kitchen when he heard some popping sounds and other racket from the laundry room. What he heard was the wire shelf on which mother hangs the clothes that are waiting to be ironed or to be taken upstairs, and also had a few cleaning supplies on top giving way. I guess the clips on the wall side got old and brittle enough that at least one couldn't take it anymore, which left the others supporting its weight, and caused a chain reaction that broke every clip, bent both angle braces, and tore one of the brace's anchor out of the drywall.

After helping Didymus set up a temporary hanging rod (piano + ladder + a piece of metal conduit) to put the hanging clothes on, I went back to bed. Later, Dad went to get new supports for the shelf, and told me to make myself useful. So I spent all morning putting the shelf back up and cleaning around the things I had moved to get to it. Now it has an extra clip and an extra angle brace as well, so hopefully we won't have a repeat performance.

So, yeah. How was your morning? :P

Honestly, my morning was so chaotic that I don't care to relive it, lol. I'm glad that you got the shelf back up, though...YAY.
