Justin is out of the hospital and we bought a house. :) Good week!
Justin's OK. Thanks for everyone who's been thinking and praying for him. Hopefully Mom will be OK, too.
Our closing date got moved back a week because the sellers couldn't get the U City inspector back in before closing, and we aren't going to buy a house with a conditional residency permit. I'm a bit bummed - I was all worked up and excited, and now I have to wait some more. Yes, I do have perspective on this. I realize it's not a big deal, but that doesn't mean I don't want my house.
Work is still going well. They give me bunches of stuff to do and write. It's fun to see my motions actually get filed almost exactly as I wrote them. It's almost as good as seeing your name in the newspaper byline... and that was one of my favorite parts of journalism. (I'm not sure what that says about me, now that I think about it...)
Justin's launching into finals time again. He's not enjoying it all that much, however, there's always a silver lining. In this case, it reminds me to be grateful that I'm finally out of school. :)
I'm starting to think I should start studying for the Illinois Bar, which I'm taking in July. In St. Louis, many attorneys are certified in both states because the city is on the border. I can't say I'm thrilled to take another bar exam, but at least I only have to take the state section this time. My multistate score is recent and high enough that I get to opt out of Day 2 multiple choice joys. AND the firm is paying for this one - which is a HUGE silver lining!

Feel free to bug me and keep me honest. :)
Everything is going well. We're closing on our FIRST HOUSE April 28. I alternate between sheer excitement and a smidgeon of dread. It's a big responsiblity... and costs lots.
Work is also going well. I'm busy constantly. They follow the throw-you-in philosophy, so I get to do a bit of everything. It's surprisingly fun!
How's everything with you?
