"You've been through a lot this year."
"I have? I don't know. I guess so. I mean I don't really think of it like that..."
"Well I want you to. I want you to think this year over. Just think about it. And I think you'll smile when you realize. You'll do this. You'll see."
and I did smile. I did.
I saw a friend today that I have not talked to in about a year. she asked me to come see her because she just had surgery and thought I could cheer her up. So I went to her house. and I'm really glad that I did. when I got there she asked me how I've been and I told her that I'm still here and I'm happy that I am. and when I asked her how she was she said "I'm surviving" and my first thought was, "what a horrible way to live" and then I realized that that's how I've been living my life lately. I've been surviving. and that is not how I want to live.
"Depression is about as close as you get to somewhere between dead and alive, and it's the worst." --Prozac Nation
I took off work for my spring break. I've never really taken off work without a reason. I just know that right now I really need a break. too bad that break isn't for another month.
"It's great that you can listen and be a shoulder to someone, but what about when someone doesn't need a shoulder. What if they need the arms or something like that? You can't just sit there and put everybody's lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love. You just can't. You have to do things."
my senior quote must be turned in by friday. I need your help.
my favorite so far is...
"your heart is the size of your fist; keep loving, keep fighting"
others I like are...
"Love never fails"
"Live for the moment"
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world"
"I think I need a sunrise I'm tired of the sunsets"
so your job is to tell me which one you like best
and if you have any suggestions let me know
but it can only be 15 words long.
