Ice Cream

I LOOOVE ice cream! I seldom find a flavor that I do not like. However, there is nothing really complex about the simple taste of ***insert your favorite flavor*** ice cream. Or so I thought... until I had pineapple, coconut, habanero ice cream while dining on the riverwalk in San Antonio last week. It starts off with the sweet goodness of the pineapple and then smoothly segues into the still sweet but nutty flavor of the coconut. Then comes the finish. Just before it slides down the back of your throat it reaches up and ignites your uvula with the most wonderful blast of heat from the habanero. WOW!

It is hard to go back to my now second favorite ice cream, Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. What is your favorite?

I LOOOOOVE ice cream, but I seldom get to have some. I like pistachio a lot, a lot, a lot. Amaretto Cherry is good too, mint chocolate chip, birthday cake ice cream...and good old fashion Homemade Vanilla is always a good choice too. :-)

First of all...the ice cream you had sounds....weird. But if you say it's that good, okay. I love Blue Bell's types with chocolate and nuts in it.

I can say "no" to any kind of desert - except ice cream. And to me, bad ice cream is still good ice cream. I love a good ole peanut butter cup blizzard from Dairy Queen.

also...How is "Puff..." a political song?

Rosenberg Sightreading Session

We went to the 5th Sunday Singing this afternoon at Rosenberg. Wonderful hour spent in singing praises. I knew about a third of the songs, had sung/heard a few times another third, and was completely sightreading the other third. I gotta go to more singings.

the church we've been attending sing a LOT of songs that I have never sung before. I feel so out of sync.

I've been to some singings where I felt this way, but I guess we've been working on learning a lot from the supplement, which has really helped. Thank you both for coming!

Physical Therapy Reward Program

I went to the Orthopaedic doctor just to make sure that my physical therapy was progressing according to plan. It seems to me to have stalled, but he assures me that I will know how much range of motion I will eventually have after about a YEAR after surgery. I think I ought to get frequent visit points from the PT clinic.

Well ya know, at "our " age it does take a little longer for our bodies to bounce back. Hang in the Tigger.

The Lazy Lurker

Hardly a day goes by without a quick look at Pleo and FB... but I seldom post. I have finally decided I am just a lazy lurker. I love that I can keep up with folks through little snippets of their lives that they choose to share.

Maybe I don't play well with others...Hmmm? Nope, just LAZY!

Or maybe I just don't have anything interesting to share 'cause few if anyone ever comments. Maybe I am not loved. OOOH, that makes me a loveless, lonely, lazy lurker.

Maybe I need to expand my horizons and find more friends to read my rants. Limited, loveless, lonely, lazy lurker! That's me!!

Laconic, laggard, languid, lucid, loquacious, listless! Maybe sometimes, but mostly LAZY!

Maybe I need to find more friends But is Pleo the place to do that or should I just concentrate on FB (now that I have all of the Farmers and the other goofy games blocked).

What to do, what to do?
  • whipsmile
Don't just concentrate on FB! Don't abandon us!

Raise Your Hand

I am through the first of 4 weeks of physical therapy. Glad to get rid of the sling but now I have a big rubber band, a tiny bar bell, and a funny pulley contraption to replace it. Well actually at home I use a 2 lb diving weight, but you get the picture. I have decided you have to have a big heart and hands of steel to be a physical therapist. I am about 50% there and improving fast. I hope to soon be able to put on a suit coat because I feel a little under-dressed at church. Thanks for the good wishes.

So glad you are getting better. Gene developed a great deal of admiration for his therapist when he broke his hand in the fall. They're tough but they MUST be!
