Anyone heard of this song? Root Them Out
This is a song I found that was in a book from when my dad was a child. My aunt taught me the tune of it on vacation, and I thought it was a good one to introduce to my bible class.
Root Them Out
Root the out, get them gone.
All the little bunnies in the field of corn,
Envy, jealousy, malice and pride,
These must never in my heart abide.
Search them out, plant them in,
All the blessed virtues of the book within,
Kindness, thoughtfulness, peace and love,
All the other likenesses of Christ above.

I've never heard that one. Looks good! -
Yes, I still live in San Marcos. I will definitely look you up if I'm ever in the area. :) -
thanks and thats cool and ok text me ? -
I really like this song! -
It works pretty good with "This old man, he played one, he played knick-knack..." I'm thinking to make a visual of a corn field and add velcro for bunnies. Then remove them as we sing the first stanza. Then add ears of corn for the second stanza (on the corn stalks). -
Very cool. I think you might be right. The tune almost sounds like that song, but I didn't think of a tune until you suggested that one. -
Thank you so much!! My due date has come and gone but that's ok. :) I'm feeling well and enjoying the alone time I have with Timothy. -
