There's not really anything new going on around here, but it's been a little while since I've posted pictures so I thought I would do that. The girls are growing so fast! They are already 3 months old. They are really sweet babies and very smiley! Also, they are sleeping really well at night and it's such a blessing! Parker didn't sleep more than 2-3 hrs at a time at night until he was 9 months old and it was exhausting. I was really dreading that happening with the girls, but they have been doing so well.

hi shannon- I filled the bean bag with styrofoam beads- they are made specifically for that. I found several options online, then saw a bag on sale one day at Kroger of all places!

One month

Well, time is flying as I knew it would. The girls are a month old and today was my due date. Things are going well. We're all adjusting to our new normal which is a lot busier than the old normal! The girls are doing good. As of Monday, Kate weighed in at 7 1/2 lbs and Brooke at 7lbs. So, they are growing well. They have another weight check next monday and i'm hoping for 8lbs! I've already braved taking all 3 kids out by myself, but it was just to story time that is only about 5 minutes from our house and I knew that I had 2 friends there who would have been more than willing to help out. It surprisingly went smoothly. It was nice to know that I can indeed get out of the house should I need to :)

The babies came on Tuesday. I had a Dr.'s appt that morning and she determined that my blood pressure was getting too out of control and we needed to have these babiesl So, I head over to the hospital to get this show on the road! Long story short - things weren't progressing fast enough to make my dr. happy since she wanted them out ASAP - so we head to the OR for a C-Section. I wasn 't too happy with this, but I had already told myself the I'd do whatever was best for the babies and that's what it turned out to be. Shortly later our sweet girls were born. Kate Elizabeth born at 6:03pm weighing in at 6 lbs 6 oz 20" and Brooke Madison born at 6:04pm weighing in at 6 lbs 6 oz 19" long. They were both very healthy and only needed to be monitored because of the IV medicine that I needed to keep my blood pressure down. We will hopefully be going home on Saturday. We've got lots of pictures of course, but for now they're on facebook because that's quicker for putting pictures up. I'm sure it won't be long before I have pictures up here.

Yay, Hopkins!! Great job, Shannon!! I'm so glad they're here safe and sound. They are beautiful and I cant wait to meet them!
