How do you write an update for a three and a half year hiatus? ;) Not gonna bother, but hello to the loyal pleonasters...

I just got home after my nine hour drive from Birmingham. The trip alone wasn't as bad as I had expected but I think next time I am going to fly! I went up to see Hannah, Patrick and my family for a long weekend. I had so much fun! I had forgotten what the colored leaves, cool nights and stars were like!! I get to go back in November and I am already looking forward to it :)
I always say that I will post pictures and I never do so I am not going to make any promises. I do have some good ones though so maybe I will get around to it!
Hope everyone is having a great week!!

It's only 2 in the afternoon and I have already had enough "issues" to last me for the entire week!
People normally get all huffy and puffy about Monday anyway since it is the beginning of the week and their beloved weekend is over. I think that people stressing over Mondays is, in most cases, unnecessary. I always feel a little rejuvinated having had a couple of days off and so I don't mind them so much... it's Tuesday that are crazy for me. Well, now I understand the case of the Monday Blues!
I won't go into detail regarding my crazy day but will tell you the most entertaining story.
Anyone that knows me well knows that I am a flip flop girl. I am not up with the fashion do's and don'ts and for the most part I could care less. I don't have 50 pairs of shoes like most females. Unfortunately, I can't wear flip flops to work though. I have two pairs of black high heels and that is the extent of what I have that falls under our dress code. I have been getting up early on Saturdays to garage sale shopping...I know... call me a weirdo but I have gotten some AWESOME things that I could have gone to Michael's or Kirklands and spent a fortune on.... maybe one day I will post the pictures and you will marvel at my treasures! Okay, back to the garage sale... well, on Saturday I went to one that had TONS of shoes lining the drive way. Oddly enough they actually fit me. It was a rare find because I wear a size 4 or 5! Most the shoes I wouldn't be caught dead in because they looked like "street girl" attire but I found a pair of really tall brown shoes and thought that they were cute so I got them ($1 thank you very much!). I wore them to work today and everyone was already making fun of me because, despite my 4'11 height, I don't wear tall shoes, EVER. On the way back to get some files the sole of the shoe just fell off causing me to take a tumble in front of several clients and co-workers. Everyone laughed and although I did feel a bit embarrassed I said that I was "glad that I provided some Monday morning entertainment for everyone" and then I picked up my complete shoe and my broken one and got back to work. I have been running around the office barefoot all day.
Guess you get what you pay for....

I have a new job!
I work for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. I am the Client Service Representative for victims of sexual abuse, rape, domestic violence and those who are suicidal. As hard as it is to imagine the trauma that these people are dealing with I rest assured that through us they are going to get the help and therapy they need. It's reminded me how fortunate we are to have God to lean on when we go through difficult times. Please say a little prayer tonight for all of those out there who are really hurting right now.
On a less serious note... I also have a new car!
I have had a pretty rough time with my Tauras... wrecks, break-ins, mechanical problems (yeah, I am fully aware of the fact that it is a FORD, thanks). Anyway, on Friday I bought myself a new 07 Toyota Carolla! I have never had a new car and I think that after 6 junky ones I don't have a feel guilty for treating myself to one. I will be sure and post pictures soon :)
Hope everyone is well. Have a great weekend!!

I just signed the check two weeks ago to get the little bit of money that I get back to cover my costs in the accident that I had last May. Needless to say, I was very relived that the 11 month ordeal was over and done with! I walked out of the attorney's office and went on my way...
I woke up to a window busted out on the passengers side of my car Tuesday before last. Someone had broken into it and unfortunately, I had been such a stress head over other things that I forgot to grab my purse out when I got out of the car. In my defense, everyone that knows me well knows that I HATE to carry purses. I am not like other girls, I would rather carry just my keys and wallet. In fact, I only own three purses altogether! So when I do actually carry a purse around I have a hard time keeping up with it! Despite all of that there are two lessons there... one, don't be a stress head and two, don't ever leave your purse in the car because obviously that gives even more reason for the nasty perps to break in! Long story short, I paid quite a bit of money to get them fixed...
The following Tuesday as I was pulling into the Driver's License place to get a replacement, I was t-boned. The damage wasn't as bad as it could have been but this is what my car looks like now...

Both doors on that side of the car won't open! It's a little frustrating but until I can afford the dumb $500 deductible... That is what I will be rolling around in. Wouldn't be so bad if everyone I pass by in the lane to my right wasn't constantly staring at it! Haha.
So that's what's been going on with me....
One more thing...Don't forget to bid for a date with
Alex to raise money for an excellent cause!!
