look at me update so soon!

Before I get into the boring stuff about school I want to say I had a great weekend! Went up to Arlington (but didnt go to the game) and hung out with one of my very cool friends who I miss sharing a room with. ;)

So my POLS exam went ok. after only studying for like 2 days I got a 78...so I wont complain. I surveyed a few people in class and apparently a lot of people were in the 75-80 range. This morning I had my first KINE (PE- strength training) exam, I know I should have studied for more than just a day so I am not feeling too confident. I will find out Thursday how that went.

I will be doing nothing but studying for the rest of this week as I have 3 exams next week. The only good news is that the exams are spread out. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. GEOG, ENGL, and an education course respectively. Not too excited for the GEOG or ENGL (especially the ENGL) exams because I feel these are my 2 hardest classes. I started working on the study guide last night for GEOG and I am feeling a little bit better about that, but I am really dreading ENGL! Analyzing literature isnt exactly my strong suit.

Well, time to do some reading before this softball game I have at 9:15...

On happier notes: I have a softball game tonight, softball makes me happy!
Home game for the Aggies this weekend! AAA WHOOP!
I get to go to ladies bible class this week!
God is awesome and life is great!

I wish I knew what it was like to play in a softball league. 3 of 4 games have been rained out for us.

Oh, and I'll be rooting for the Aggies this week.

another brief update

So I guess it has been awhile for me. There really hasn't been much going on. I worked all summer, then started school, am back to subbing again, and will probably quit my mall job shortly because I just can't handle it all and stay sane! I mean, I could handle this mall job but I just don't want to because it is turning into a weekend only job and is sucking the life right out of me!

Anyways, I haven't had a single exam yet...but that is about to change on Thursday. October will be a VERY busy month for me in regards to projects and exams. I have been slacking quite a bit so far on the studying and such, I must find a steady routine soon or my grades might suffer this semester...(hence the getting rid of the mall job.)

I LOVE being an Aggie in the fall, there is nothing more amazing than being a part of Aggie football at Kyle Field! WHOOP!

Hope all is well with everyone else, sorry I have been so out of touch! Love you all-

Subbing would probably be less stressful, too.
G'luck on the test. I am glad that I'm done with that part of my life!

Got a job!

I got a job at the mall on Tuesday. I also started that job on Tuesday. I wasn't supposed to work today, but I got a call and will be going in for a few hours this afternoon before ladies bible study.

Anyways, its in the area right outside of Bath & Body Works and that book store where Steve and Barry's used to be. It's a bungee trampoline. I actually pays better than I thought at $8hr and I should be able to get close to 40hrs a week. I may end up being the one that makes the schedule every week (with approval of course.) Anyways, its a lot of fun and I even get to jump if its slow (to bring in customers.)

For those of you with children, or know of children that would find this fun come on by! We need the business to stay in business.

No news on the car yet, the liability still hasn't been placed yet. They are still waiting on their insured driver to send them a diagram of the accident and pictures of his truck (which had no damage.)

Thats it for now. Hope all is well for everyone!

Let's add insult to my injury...

some older guy hit me in the denny's parking lot today and messed up my back end. It's his fault so lets pray that his insurance company won't fight it and that the guy will be honest about it when his adjuster calls him. If not hopefully witnesses can be of some help.
Oh and just so its more embarrasing as I drive down the street...the trunk won't shut so there is a bungee holding it down, but anytime I hit a bump the trunk lid bounces. I call it the trailer park trunk latch...or at least thats how I feel.

I felt I handled it well. I didn't get mad or even really act frustrated. I guess these things get easier to handle with age. Also realizing its only a physical object and that whats most important is that no one was hurt helped me keep a better attitude about it.

Well thats about it for now. Sorry if I seem like such a Debbie Downer lately!
  • yost
You handled the situation perfectly! You're not Debbie Downer..you're just experiencing harder parts of life right now and the negative things are heightened right now. Lucky for you, you have tons of people that love you and are praying for you. :-) Take Comfort!

I've heard more accidents happen in the parking lot that the roads. So many CRAZY people.

not fun, not fun at all.
if you want to keep the trunk from bouncing use a wire coat hanger or bailing wire in stead of a bungee cord.
