I was plumb tired of that old post. Been up there too long. My daughter Rebekah graduated from 5th grade next Thursday. So next year she will be in 6th grade and Emily will be in 7th. They will both be in the same school. Yea!!!Where does the time go?
  • aleta
I like to think of them at the age in the picture to the left. :)

Isn't it hard to believe how quickly time passes? Elizabeth is graduating tonight. Anna Kay will be graduating from college soon. Our oldest grandson, Kendall, is a sophmore and his brother, Garrett, just graduated from 6th grade with honors. A.J. is 13. How can that be? I am not any older! How nice it will be for you two and the girls when they are both in the same school. (We are so happy that your dad is out of the hospital and be at grad. tonight)

Patti, we are so glad that we went. We love your parents! They are two of our best friends in this world. I think Michael appreciated the visit. He probably thinks I am nuts. I stood my his bed and held his hand the whole time I was talking to him. Tom and I are praying for him. I am afraid he has a long haul ahead of him but I never underestimate the power of prayer. Thanks for the sweet email. We love you guys and hope to see you soon.

I really wanted to ask you about the surprise when I talked to you on the phone, but when you said you didn't go to work on Friday, I figured you must not have seen it. Yes, I would love to see what they did. As of now, there are no plans that weekend, but I do have to work on Monday! Are y'all coming to visit?

Half a Century!!!

Yesterday was my birthday. Yes, I am now 50 years old!! I am half a century old. It is something. I don't feel 50. I don't really know what 50 is supposed to feel like. I feel just the same as I have for the last few years. My body is not the same as it was when I was 20, but then I think we all feel that way. We all get old and can't move like we used to, and our brains don't work as quick as they used to. My wonderful husband bought me a Nano IPOD and I have already downloaded some songs. Anyone remember Achy Breaky Heart? I downloaded that video. Oh Man! Can you say Mullet?? I also got a Zutter bind it all. I am really looking forward to using that and making little coaster books. Anyway, life is going real good. I am so blessed and have a wonderful family!!

Summer Programs

Does anyone out there in San Antonio Pleoland have any suggestions for care for the summer for a new teenager? Emily will be 13 in early June. She can no longer go to the daycare, they stop taking children at 13. She cannot stay home alone. We don't know what to do with her for the summer. If I have to I will take Rebekah back to the same day care. I do not want to. I would rather have both girls at the same place. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe yall can ask around. Maybe any teenagers want to come to our house and make some good money this summer?
  • littlebitty624
Hmmm, I don't know. If I hear about anything, I'll let you know!

I don't know of anything school sponsored, but sometimes the Y will have a program for young teens. The crop is on for the 25th, by the way.

On your long weekend in June, we will be going to Dallas for Scott's "Train in the Distance" Cancer Benefit Concert. So we won't even be here if y'all were planning on coming over. Hopefully later in the summer will work!
