NC Mtn Camp 2006 was AMAZINGGG. :) I can't even describe how awesome it was. I've never in my life heard of a camp that lets the campers stay out and talk till 3 o clock in the morning every night! We have the BEST councelors ever...Gabe and Mandy, Adam and Amanda Olsen, the Moseleys....just everybody. Their sooo awesome.

This year the bible classes and devotions were so encouraging. They were just what i needed. We also had a guys & girls talk with the high school kids. The girls listed qualities that we are looking for in christian guys. And the guys did likewise for the girls. It was so beneficial for everyone. It helped me keep in mind that i dont need to settle for a guy that doesnt have the same standards and love for God that i do. One of the girls from camp told us a quote that someone from her church had told her...it went something like:

"Run hard towards God and every once in a while...look around you and see who is running with you. Those are the ppl that will help you in your goal of living for God. They'll be there running with you and helping you along."

That comment helped me SO much. It's pretty much amazing. It was so encouraging to see the awesome christian guys at our camp who love God and are serving Him with all of their hearts.

--I had a birthday (my 16th to be exact :)
--I've been workin' like crazy...and i love it!
--I've had major retarded boy problems...ah!
--I've realized a LOT of things about myself and my standards
--I've grown closer to my friends
--I've been shopping!! and going to see movies...which is a big thing for me...

--I leave for camp on Sunday...it will be good b/c i need to get away for a week. real bad.
--When i get back from camp...i have like 2 days and then i leave for St. Louis...to visit mi abuelos...i miss them.

SO...i had an interview today @ 4:00...and it's 4:30 now....and i am officially an employee of Bruster's! yay!...it's my first job and i think i'm really gunna like it.:) I know a couple people from school that work there now...and they love it! So...thats good. Alright well thats all the blogging i have time for right now...Everyone will have to come visit me this summer!

Well...its been a long while since i've posted and a lot has gone on...

I've started back at school and i have a pretty boring and easy semester...

1. Nutrition & Foods
2. Algebra II hnrs.
3. Spanish II
4. Drivers Ed.

School is a lot of fun though...i've met so many great christian people. I love being around people who love God and want to serve him. Its so uplifting and encouraging. :)

On the down side...My grandpa was recently diagnosed with colorectal cancer and he is undergoing a very high dose of chemotherapy. He takes six pills a day just for chemo. The doctors have also said that they think the cancer has spread to his liver and lymph nodes...so its not looking too good. Hopefully, his body will respond to the chemotherapy and get rid of that junk. If not, maybe he will grow close to God and look to him for strength and encouragement. Thats what i'm praying for right now...
