update...my life since Feb

I can't believe I haven't logged on since Feb! Almost everyone at my job got laid off in March. I decided to take up consulting so I'm working for a couple of different people. It pays well..except that the hours aren't guaranteed. I like it when I travel and i like having free time at home...but I have a hard time focusing at home. I guess I need to just work on ...working at home.
I'm in CA this week consulting at an oil refinery. I just ate at In-n-Out burgers. I was hungry 2 hours later so I had Del Taco. I fear I might get food poisoning.

Sarah, it's good hearing from you here. Let me know if you ever do any consulting here in NE. I'll feed you but I can not promise you won't get food poisoning.

So I'm totally completely and in all other ways addicted to Facebook but I still enjoy the bloggy feel of pleonast. I wish I remembered to check it more and post more.

2010 was a crazy year. I managed to go to Germany, France, Bahamas and Grand Turks and Caicos. I got a new niece (Thomas has a baby girl now) and I started Taekwondo. I'm a green belt now and I really enjoy it (as long as they don't make me run in class...how I loathe to run).

I'm trying out a lot of new gluten free recipes. I make this awesome chocolate chip banana nut bread. It really does rock.

So where should I travel this year? I've got three weeks to take. Anyone else heading overseas?

You could travel down my way - it's just a little hour trip into New Orleans.

So I joined Christian Cafe (the free trial) and I get two emails immediately- from Greece and the Netherlands. Not sure if these are people trying to get into the US, but hey...might be fun to see. I haven't been to Greece or the Netherlands! But I suspect these are just people trying to get US citizenship. Besides I wanted to find people in my own city. Have any of you done Christian Cafe?

At least it wasn't someone from....was it Zimbabwe? I'm not sure, but remember when all of the spammers infiltrated the single's site and were sending emails and asking people for $1500?

I joined CC several years ago, but didn't have any luck. Supposedly, there is a coC version of Christian Cafe.

Just out of curiosity, have you kept up your membership at the single's site since they started charging? I received an email about a year after I informed them of my marriage saying that they were going to start charging.

Speaking from experience, you never know what, or whom, you'll find. I had just about given up ever finding someone when I came across my husband's profile. I wrote to him, and the rest is history. He had been on the site for *three* days. I felt so gipped. I especially felt gipped when I found out that we had mutual friends and that said mutual friend had been trying for ages to get me to come visit her on a Sunday. She said we'd go to church and have lunch. I've never asked her, but Robb and I think she was going to introduce us.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers- They let go about 1/3 of the company on Friday. We're all still in shock I think. I survived the layoffs. Thankful to God for that!!! Thankful to God for many things. Especially my support of the family of christians I have. Love you guys!!

Its March 2nd- its snowing, again. Seriously, shouldn't I be wearing sandals by now??

They might have a round of layoffs this Friday at my work. We really don't know- we just know there are huge budget cutbacks. Please pray for my job. And my sanity if I do lose my job. This economy is kind of crazy. I know that Jehovah is my Soverign, so everything will be ok. I just might die of a panic attack, that's all. I should know Friday.
