the house.
So, we've been here about a month now, and I think we're finally moved in. Well, at least 85%.
We still don't have a bed (just a mattress and boxsprings) because I think the department stores of the world hate full sized beds. :( Ugh, what I wouldn't give for my under the bed storage again...but, all in all, we're pretty much done. The majority of things is aesthetic improvements now.
I think eventually I'll go around and take some pictures, as well as start having people over finally.
Oh, and when you came over, you could have just asked to play the Wii. :)
Kain has been sick with a head cold the past week and a half...this humid and hot weather isn't making him feel much better either.
So, how is your summer going?

it's soon now.
We are buying a house.
This entails all kinds of document finding, document verifying, document faxing, and all sorts of document entailment that is quite time consuming. It eats it up as if it were warm chocolate chip cookies on a windy autumn day.
Kain and I are set to close May 17th. However, we actually have to be out of our apartment the 16th since we sublet it to someone. It will work out fine though, I'm sure. Now, how exactly, I'm not so sure about.
But, this is my excuse for not updating. All excess energy has been used to try to pack up our apartment. I thought that our little 1BR/1BA was too small...but it turns out, we just have too much stuff. o_o'
A little bit more about the house...
Although it says it only has 3 bedrooms, it actually has 4. The basement is finished, and is currently being rented out by a guy named Andy. He seems like a nice guy, and his rent will be used to take off a chunk of the house payment, so he's a keeper. The basement has it's own bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. It's basically an efficiency apartment. There aren't any pictures up on the relator's site though, probably because it's being lived in and isn't too aesthetic.
This is supposed to be the master bedroom. However, its entrance is from the kitchen and it's the only exit out to the deck. This makes it a prime candidate to be our formal dining room. Yesterday, while we were up in Pittsburgh (by the way, it was lovely seeing all of you guys) we went to Value City Furniture and peeked at their scratch and dent. We found a 6 person dining room table, originally priced at $700 for $50. Needless to say, we bought it (it only had a little surface scratch on the top, and as I told Kain, I'd rather pay $50 with the scratch, than $700 and get a scratch eventually). Now we just have to find a truck to steal to go pick it up. :)
So, things have been a little crazy...
At least now you don't have to stare at Happy Valentine's Day anymore. :)
Oh, and I almost forgot. This is for you.
Six Weird Things About Me
1. I have no right thumb...well, I do, but it really shouldn't qualify as a thumb. It's more of a nub. It makes my phalanges total at 19.333333.....
2. I can't stand to eat ramen noodles if they've absorbed the broth and turned that translucent color. I have to boil my water first, and then dump them in. They can't sit in the microwave, or the small amount of space allows the noodles to soak up the steam. Yuck.
3. I'm a little obsessive compulsive about putting the receipt from Blockbuster in the DVD case. Well, not so much OCD as major habit. It's saved me on several occasions either from them not taking off the safety device, or from not losing the receipt so I know when to take it back.
4. I'm a huge nerd and
5. I like Hello Kitty, but that's probably because
6. I'm Asian.
