It's the most wonderful time of the year
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I spend the actual Turkey day at my Grandma's. YUM! I swear I gained a pound - which is great since I'm always trying to gain weight! =) Then I went to BG for a day. Bought some Christmas presents for Baby Luke at One Stone Biblical Resources. I was doing good until Greg showed me a 50% off table. Um...yeah. LOL Spent way more than I had planned, but got some good deals and a couple books for some people at SOBO. Then I had a second Thanksgiving dinner at my friend Matt's. His mom told him he could invite friends. The food was soooooo good! Not like my grandma's, but good all the same. His family loves games, so we played Spoons and Speed. Since Speed is a 2 player game, 4 people lined up across from each other and there were 4 decks of cards between us. All 4 teams would start at the same time, so it was LOUD but fun. =)
The past couple of weeks have been BUSY and it doesn't look to slow down anytime soon. I'm on two new medications. We'll see how this goes.
I'm super excited, because this is the first time in 6 years I can properly enjoy the holidays. I have time to bake, watch Christmas shows, spend time with friends and family, etc. I'm having a Christmas party this Saturday and I'm SO EXCITED. I dragged out all my decorations today and I'd forgotten how much I have. haha Most them are 2nd hand, but who cares? Not me. I am having appetizers and desserts. And, I'm hosting a White Elephant exchange with a twist - you're supposed to bring something you already own (new or used) that you don't want or need. I did this with some friends last year and it was hilarious, so I'm hoping my friends in Indy will like this kind of gift exchange. It's something fun to do and doesn't cost anything extra.
WKU was not invited to a bowl game, and I'm not happy about it. They really deserved it. They were 2nd in the Sun Belt conference. It really would have helped recruiting for next year.
I saw Luke today! He is getting so big. He can crawl and pull himself up on the sofa. He has "big boy" toys now. Today, he was fascinated with the garland on the tree. I think because it shimmers in the light when he turns it. He can give you a "high five" too. I LOVE my little man! =D
Time for bed. Have a great week! =)
